" I've heard these sounds coming out of upstairs windows walking around Paris."
Yes, there is something oddly French about it. Must be the groove or something. It's certainly not the sitar/drone!
I agree that something else should take over from the lead instrument, to provide a bit more variety.
But it's still good work and unusual too.
I found the track by clicking on the random search button a few times. I was expecting I'd get hip hop track after hip hop track. And that is exactly what I got! And then this came up...
I guarantee you will enjoy the music of a very creative guy called Son Of Dave as he makes music a lot like this ie he's a harmonica-playing beatboxing looper who makes really energetic old-time dancing blues. I saw him live a few weeks ago and it's still great. He's got a few good albums too.
However, he doesn't add the African stuff in so that's an odd and interesting addition on this track.
This definitely doesn't belong in 'weird'. Maybe just blues or fusion.
This works perfectly for my project. I'm using this as the intro music and as background music on the radio of an Indian cab driver in San Francisco for the short film "Flow". If you'd like I'll send you a link to the film when it's done. Thanks so much for making this, it sounds wonderful!
this is interesting. very refreshing originality. i dig the beat box stab @ the beginning that was sick. i'd be very impressed if you could this live man.. i'd pay to see that.
when the weather turns and ya gotta start wearing socks again - it shouldn't be a bummer - it should be just like this - welcome old wooly friends - a beauty
I love it! It's absolutely perfect for what I'm looking for. It'll be the background music to an instruction video that will inspire the audience to help the world. Thank you very much for creating and sharing this!
Wowwww I love the feel of this. It's a very clean mix and so relaxing to listen to. A very beautiful track. I can imagine clouds rolling over mountains when I hear this. Ace job.

I would have loved to have more bass on that beatboxing but that could be done with an EQ and a filter..
