Nice to see you posting more mixes mate. Am thinkin this one's pretty decent (the pizzi sounding synths are my favorite part). Then the build after the lull is my second favorite. And though I really dig what you've done here, if it were my mix I'd consider adding more to the bass and low end side of things (of course, I'm more of a Goa-Psy & Progressive fan that leans toward more D&B / Breaks stuff). As to the arrangement, I'd work on building into the song in steps (ie, start with a fade-in of the synths, introduce the drums, cut all for 1 or 2 seconds with a gated reverb, and bring them back while also starting the bass line). Beyond that its golden mate. Keep bangin on mate. You've got a fan here. Cheers!
Yeah mate, I agree, this one's a really decent piece. I think you've improved in your mixing & arranging skills since your last song (it also seems to be a genre that you're good at). There isn't a single thing that I can think to suggest for this. Though the mix-down seems to still be running a little hot (too close to red). Otherwise, this was superbly done. Def saved & faved. Lates!
Mate this is one very sweet trancer, very good work my friend, as my friend WaPer stated very nice choir pad, great beat/bassline, clarity and arrangement are spot on, nice crystal clear, you have improved heaps with this piece compared to your first trance piece, mate keep them coming like this one okies, man this is one enjoyable listen, hearing some loops I have here, good to hear them used differently....very good...Fav'd...Thank you for sharing this very nice piece of work mate....Peace n Respect...Estefano....
I agree with the other reviewers, I think this is a great first attempt. I very the track to make for a very enjoyable listen. It also had my foot tapping :-)
Yeah, I've got to agree with ELSD there. I'm really diggin the way this starts with the airiness of the pads & percs. Though it did seem to stretch out a little too long (perhaps you might want to consider cutting it back, by say, 20 seconds or so). The bass comes in rather nicely (and I dig the sound font & effects you've got on them). The lead synths are also nice (good choice of sound font again), though they do seem a little flat IMO (maybe think about copying them, moving them down just a few frames/spaces, and add some effects to them, like say, a medium or hall reverb). Also enjoying the second set of synths you've got on here (nice font & effects). Though just like how I suggested trimming down the length of the drum intro, I'd also suggest moving the introduction to these back (so it doesn't take as long for them to kick in and for pacing purposes). And if that jeopardizes the length of your song you could fix that by amending the current end of the song to just have them and maybe either just the bass or just the drums playing along side them (then bring everything back for the end, with say, some fast pan treatment) for the end. Otherwise, this was a great start mate. Keep banging them out. Later on!
Mate good attempt at your first attempt at this genre, progressive type of piece, nice beat, nice synths, sounding nice and clear, good arrangement, like I said very good for your first go, keeping working at the genre and you will improve, this would have to be better then my first go at trance, so well done....Peace n Respect...Estefano....
