mackit, you're my new favorite music maker here on looperman. I can play your music all day. Although it's not the best recording of the track, I love love love this piece. You've got magic fingers.

thankyou for the comment and the listen. This is not the best recording of this song. when i wrote this song i was having problems with my system, and lost a lot of data, the better recording of that track was there. Need to take the time to record it again. thanks again. PEACE. THE MACK MAN OUT.

Quite soothing song. The guitar was quite relaxing. This is something I'd definitely hear on the easy-listening radio station back home. Great job! Nice to see some deep-rooted jazz feels gracing the Featured section :)

What up Greg, MACK MAN here. Thankyou for the possitive comment, and taking time to listen. I took a little time with this one. I tried to keep it simple but strong with the melody line, which is the most important element in a song, and yes theory is very important. It helps you to know and understand what you're doing. With out undertsanding chords and how they function will limmit your ability to write on certain levels. One of my secrets for creating is, I rarely listen to the radio. I don't care what sounds are in, or what beats are happening or what the latest accapela is,because once those concepts get a hold on your subconscious you become a coppycat writer. Try not listening to any radio music for a month and hear what happens to your creativity. You will only have your musical thoughts and skills to depend on. Thanks again. Will stop by. PEACE. THE MACK MAN OUT.

Thankyou for the comment and the intrest, but I have a vocal consept for this track to make it great myself. this one is already copywrited. We can colab on somthing though. I will do a bed track (BASS& DRUMS) and you can create the melody lines and orchestration. I have some serious mastering tools to complete the production, so if interested drop me an email. Thanks again for the comment and the like. PEACE. THE MACK MAN OUT.

Ooh man do I like this smooth and soulful track. Such a nice flow. The saxophone is so deep and melody so catchy. The guitar after is top notch. You should try and contact Maddie(https://www.looperman.com/users/profile/1887991) and ask if she wants to collab with you. I made a track with her and she really has a great voice which would fit perfect with this song. My hats of and a deep bow for you Mr Mack! One of the best songs I heard on LM lately!

Very beautiful song. It's really soothing, and relaxes the mind. I believe it was a saxophone, or whatever that lead instrument was it was extremely well performed. The whole production is just perfect. You should really get a soulful sounding singer to sing over this track. It would sound so pretty(for lack of a better term). Please post more stuff like this. Truly amazing! If you don't mind checking out my songs, and leaving some feedback I'd really appreciate that.

Cool track sitting here with guitar in hand, I fell into a groove
like it was all planed...
Funny...How ideas just blow in on the wind, stay sharp and you
can grab one that works...

Solid piece of work, to bad no DL or I'd lock it down just on GP...

I really like it...

Peace...TG.

Very Nicely Laid Out... Flavourful I must say in every way...

The sidewalk patterned file, just tells me that everything is
at the same level Volume wise, much of the dynamics are lost
in that way, as well as instrumental play...

Over all cool project...

Peace...TG.

Yo. This did make me smile: "Evan the smooth guitar playing MACK MAN sometimes go crazy seeking volume insted of dynamics".

The same goes for the STATIC MAN. I generally seek volume (unless it's real chill) but then have to go and pull everything down afterwards in the mix so that things don't get overloaded and become tiring for the listener. I don't do too much of mega widdling screaming lead guitar soloing rock but I'm working on an awesome track right now featuring just that.

I've made the guitar huge and intense but have to be careful mixing it so that the bass and drums and other little synth flourishes don't get lost and overwhelmed. I can't lose my backing groove otherwise the lead guitar craziness won't sound as cool.

It's just your drums that are the problem here - like you've not worked on them/it at all and just left that track sitting at the same (high) volume throughout the piece.

Good luck with your new toys. I'm guessing various new software plugins?

I shall bear with you.

THE STATIC MAN OUT.

Your versatility is showing again Mack Man...like that steady funked beat with a bit of power and the way the bass line sets it off...super guitar stuff (I`ll learn to play that tasty jazz guitar in my next life...at present I just try not to have my fingers stumble over each other.. haha)...uplifting & very cool mix that bounces right along in head-nodding fashion...and thats something we could all use more of...the hard limiting pushes the volume on this one up but I think the pumping & power work o.k.with the instrumentation & overall vibe....enjoyed this one...great job...Ed

ED, first let me say you are one of the best all around guitar players on the Loop. You play with a lot of discpline, and that makes for some well thought out compositions. Thanks for stopping by and the humble comments. PEACE. THE MACK MAN OUT.

Yo. I've just written my reply to you about my most recent uploaded track and whether it's too loud and not mastered well enough.

I have to say that my honest opinion about this one relates exactly to that topic: this does sound too loud and bright -especially those drums. The metallic highs are a bit too intrusive.

Something different from you here. None of your intricate jazz guitar (unless it's very subtle). Ah no - 2:47 and here's your guitar. Had to come in eventually.

I guess this is kind of acid jazz.

Is that main lead the trumpet? Sounds a bit more like a violin. I'm confused.

Lots of nice funky touches in this one and you can dance to it.

2:27-2:29 bass fill particularly cool and we get to hear a different tone as it goes high.

I think my main complaint is the monotony of the drums. They make it feel quite long and at that same level, it sort of gets a bit tiring. I'd like more drum variation - in what is being played and also level. Break it down a bit and build it back up. Could do with some programmed kits rather than just that loop.

All the playing's great but I feel the track can be much better with more variation in intensity, really just through changing those drums.

Feel free to disagree - that's just how I hear it and I've listened a couple of times.

Static, thank you for your honesty. This track is too hot for shore. Evan the smooth guitar playing MACK MAN sometimes go crazy seeking volume insted of dynamics, like I normaly would do. It,s more than likely going to take me couple moore weeks to get use to no internet connetion problems and an upgraded system. So bare with me Static, my brain is racing with all the new toys I have with this up grade. PEACE. THE MACK MAN OUT.
