those synths have some real power man. I like the beat pumps along nice, but just gives some tight structure to that distorted beat. Really great. I am enjoying it big time.
Would be interesting to see how this would work with a dubstep kind of beat - snare on the 3rd beat only. Could be a cool little remix opportunity. The synths already have a dubstep feel anyway.might be cool to start off in dubstep, move to hip hop and then that house beat. Love that extra gear it finds when it moves into the house beat. excellent work buddy.
Thanks man yea this was originally a poor attempt at a dubstep song then i just had too much sugar and wanted to speed the hell out of it. but im feeling you that's why there's basically three mini songs in it (dubby synths, hip hop groove, then the dance stuff) because I just took it so many different directions. Ill probly make a separate version sometime in the future and rearrange it and dub it out more as I initially intended. Of course you could try it too I wouldn't mind haha. Anyway thanks man I appreciate the review.
I love the bass in this one Mr. Twizted Tranziztor. Excellently produced, love the synths, just an overall great sound. Personally i would've just put it under Techno or Trance, something like that. But wutever you put it under, its still excellent. Lol fav'd for sure holmes. -Gabe
I really dig the flow of this track! Nice bass synthesis, it sounds great! You really have succeeded in getting an analog sound out of your software! This song is really haunting! Great work man!
super saw sounds pretty nice, I would recommend maybe some compression on the drums and bass line, that bass saw is a little overpowering at times.
overall a really sick track, it keeps moving. You used the sample and hold lfo really well too.
Wow.
This has to be one of the best "totally unique" track I have heard on this site.
I think showing your own style and trying different things is one thing sorely lacking on Looperman and music in general.
And you made it work.
Major Kudos.
This is in no way a critiqe, but I would love to hear some of the synths with a funky drum and percussion riding behind it.
Thanks man i really appreciate it I always like trying to put something a little different out there. And yea for sure I've been thinkin about working on this song again for a while might a remix or something to spice it up and I'll definitely groove it up more.
Hey thanks man haha yea I wanted to try some new things with this one, the synths you're referring to are three fold: there's a bass with analog (an ableton instrument) which i used simply a sine with a saw with some filters and the next is massive two octaves higher with some triangle and square waves with an arpegiator and play a different melody and then there's another massive synth playing something i dont remember but I know i used flange and phase effects on that one. then on top of that i just used sidechain compression on all of them to give it the pulse effect.
