Nice feel man, got that old skool feel to it. It's the detune I think. And the Reverb on the vocals. The beat and cymbal are what make this.
Great melodies man, got a lot of potential in this.
Keep it up,
Steve
What a beautiful song mate.I really feel this one.I think its the first time i listen a vocoderized vocal over a piano song(my bad).I would love to hear a female singer singing the same words as you, like call-and -response.Amazing work.
Interesting lil tune ya whipped up here (cool description too). Quick question though, does 'Wega' mean 'Vega', or was it just somethin yer imagination cranked out for this?
On the tech side, I'm digging the overall composition, but for some odd reason don't feel that the vocals (or effects placed on them) match the song's vibe. Perhaps it's a matter of personal preference, but I think they'd sound nicer at a slightly higher octave (something that would match the whispered part at the end better, ya know). Ooh, here's a perfect example... Remember the movie Titan AE? And the scene where they're in the ship getting chased by the Wake Angels (the song that was playing during that sequence- think along those lines). Also, maybe think about making this like a minute longer or so. Otherwise, this was jammin mate. Cheers!
Before I start I've just got to say that I love your avatar. That was a really great movie. Now lemme listen to the song.
Play 2 now...
I love the retro vibe of this. And the autotune'd vox were a nice touch. All in all this is a pretty bangin track, with only one catch- I wish it was longer, ya know? Perhaps a special club mix or something (shrugs). Keep crankin 'em out mate. Lates!
Yes, absolutely. One of my top ten movies.
Usually I publish short radio edit tracks, so that producers easily can play them on the radio and pay for, ha ha :D.
I enjoyed this track, nice tune and good flow. However it doesn't feel like it hits it's peak, i think your right in that it needs more vocals. Good work
oh man, i'm in love with the synth that kicks this song off. the pads are amazing as well. the vocals are a different from what i've come to expect from your work, but that's a good thing. a very subtle, yet powerful song. just f-ing great.
the bassline and drumwork are killer on this track. especially all the triplets and rolls on the snares. i love the heavily processed vocals and samples, they add a great contrast to the synths. great track, probably my fav of yours so far.
Yeah, I like making those triplets and rolls on the snare drum, Bigod20 inspired me many years ago with their track 'The Bog (Techno Duck Mix)'... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRTJ5JBSVIU
very slick track. generally speaking, i don't really go for music with alot of techno elements, but this track, imo, exemplifies what potential techno could have. or maybe it's just the dark vibe and samples that are getting me, haha. either way, it's great work, keeping you guessing what direction it's going to turn next. very cool tune.
your synth work on this track is just exceptional, period. the beat and percussion layers give it a great depth. would've loved to hear this more developed with couple more minutes added on.
You are right, should be a bit longer. But I don't want to make it longer, just to get the track longer with "cheap" fill-ups.
Actually i wanted to add my natural vocals instead of my vocoded voice, but didn't get the right mood. Maybe i'll start another try some day.
man, i really like the sound you got with this track. the way the guitars blend with the synths is just killer. it's a smooth ebb and flow which always gets me, ha. some great work, man.

For this song I used the free TAL-Vocoder (http://kunz.corrupt.ch/?Products:VST_TAL-Vocoder), which you can easily use as a VST plug-in in buzzmachines(what I mentioned before) :).
The call-and-response thing is a really good idea.
