I like this one. I like what you did with your vocals. Nice build with some unexpected cutoffs. Levels are nice which makes the entire track rather smooth. Good job!

Yeah this one has a great vibe to it! I really liked that countdown, it sounded like it was sampled from a speak and math toy. This is mixed and mastered very well! Your track made me smile!
ok must say it is good but as we all know we have to much hip hop beats and we get bored. but i will still say the beat is nice and raps will be nice on this
fully agree with you, and I'm not particularly happy with this beat, seeing that it's been quite some time since i made it. People say that producers start off with hip-hop and then go over to other genres, and I guess that's what I've done, since I mainly make house now :P
Thank you for reviewing my track, I am here to return the favour, good build up to the track, liking the vocals, arrangement to your track I think is great, Your mastering of the track is good my friend, I wish I could give you tips but I am still trying to learn that side of things myself, basically I work on good samples and getting everything trying to sound okies before it comes to the mastering eg levels of all synths pads etc, think that does go a long way to helping the end finish product, good beat and bassline, is good I really think you do have the bassline up way to high ( The first bassline is very high, but the main bassline as it is,is ok, so you are getting distortion from one of the basslines, well to me it sounds like a bassline??, because all the levels are sounding okies on the synths etc, maybe the synth that comes in at the 4.15 minute mark, could have been little lower as it really cuts the eardrums, but overall I like your work, surprised no one has reviewed this track, as I think it is a good piece of work, adding to fav...Peace...Estefano....
Thank you for reviewing :) Ah, so that's where it's coming from, I really didn't know, I'll change it and see what happens :) Alright, and the synth :) Thank you for your help and I'm very glad that you like it and thank you for faving :)
Hi PwnLato! I'm thrilled that you like it! :) and of course, use it as you want :)
btw, loving your flow, it would be great to have something more to work with as well. If you want a collab or something, just hit contact and i'll be down ;)
I love the way this beat draws you in. The transition to the chorus was fantastic as well as the transition back to the verse. I do think that chorus needs a little more love. It seems instrumentally too empty compared to the hard orchestral bang of the verses, kind of takes away from the overall essence of the beat. Great job with this beat, one of the better ones I have heard so far!
Hi bewl. Thank you for the review and kind words :) I actually sat several hours with the chorus, really struggling. Tried out multiple stuff and I never really got it sounding the way I wanted. I've updated the track now, with some minor changes, so it should sound a little better :)
This is pretty cool! I can't chose a genre for it either, I guess house works. I kind of don't like the vocals, maybe they're just too loud. I like the change around 2:30, it sounds awesome! Nice work so far!
checked out your pictures and it looks good. keep in mind every sound will react different to eq so don't be afraid to stray slightly from my advice, every sound will have it's sweet spots but what you've done looks good and it is sounding Much better. the new percussion is cool too... using that loop on every other bar as you have is good but once it reaches 1 minute i would put it on every bar to groove the melody a bit harder before it changes.... i think you have it on every bar for the last couple but i would try starting that trend at the one minute area. look forward to hearing more.
alright :) It starts around one minute now. I think I'm actually drowning my lead with the low bass, I'm not really sure how to get around that.. I'll try fixing that, and then I'll try moving on with a new track :D
i listened again twice the last couple days cause you have good ideas and i want to help you out and it's sounding nicer. i agree with stina that you could make a whole new song out of the lead synth and turn the opening sounds into a much more straight forward house track... at the same time i know how easy and tempting it is to beef everything up and morph the sounds and progress as the track goes. i just recently started having the patience to assemble a real house track but you've come far enough that you shouldn't eliminate the lead sound.the only difference will be a slight genre change which is irrelevant.... notes: the bass seems to move in a rotary way? not sure if my ears are playing tricks but i might hold back on that a little and work eq a bit more... one good way is bring up the low end where it starts to resonate but not go crazy, and bring up the very high end slightly with a faded mid/high range to make it less muffled and more distinct in the mix. then you can lower the volume a touch and still hear it nicely and get the bass resonance which will clean it up a bit. the lead could get a touch more mid range (maybe 2-3k area) to beef it up... i think it may have been heavier last time i listened. i would still milk the beginning longer, while you have gone a more progressive direction the foundation is still house and it needs a little more time. Hope this helps this is by far the longest review i've ever written haha sorry for ranting!
Wow, thank you so much for helping me out, really appreciate it :) I'll include two screenshots, the first is of the bass, second is the bass"lead". Please tell if this was what you meant :) http://bildr.no/view/694464 http://bildr.no/view/694465.
I also included some drums from the african kit, and prolonged the intro a bit, don't know if that's enough though..

As far as levels.. I cannot really tell without having some tools around me..
But I am just sayin' as a listener.. I kinda strained here and there to hear them vocs.... perhaps some attention should be put on them.
BTW
This song is amazing.
