Hello bringerofDOOM, good to see you're still in the game. Yes, the groove on this track is perhaps unexpected when you see the title. But for us (Star Travels) funky beats were always the fuel. I copied the concept a bit from the old heroes like Undisputed Truth (Spaced Out/Higher Than High) Funkadelic (Cosmic Slop etc.) or their splinter group (We Are The Funklords). Somehow I always thought that funk and space go well together. Well, with Kubrick it worked with classical music, but who can keep up with that, right? Where the hell did you get this information? I hope your sources are safe, because these tips will of course be followed up immediately. Warming up an ice goddess...that does indeed look like my mate Robbie...poor guy. All engines at full power, warp drive....

Thank you for your review. I would like to avoid such dominant bass here, because there are too many ice formations that could easily burst if there is too much bass, and that could be fatal, at least on this planet. But thank you anyway for the tip.

Hello Mark, nice to hear from you. I've been really turned off by the vibe on LM lately... I don't deal well with Dimestop's overbearing personality... it just ruins my mood. Especially when I see him getting approval from people who I actually thought would be more peaceful. I'm just an old hippie, somehow, that's how it is and that's how it will stay.
But I'm very happy that you like Robbie and I's old track. I don't know how close you are to him or whether you know about his current situation. In any case, we can't continue to work together musically at the moment, which really bothers me. I'm working on my personal tracks, but I've become so particular about them that it takes me months before I'm satisfied... LOL
I hope you're doing well and I'll hear from you again soon.

I can't tell you how incredibly flattered I feel. Thank you for these motivating words. I don't particularly like the mood on LM at the moment, so I'm working diligently on my solo tracks... which takes me weeks to months. I've also just switched from Garage Band to Logic Pro, and there's an incredible amount to learn. My goodness, you really NEVER stop learning... right?

Hi Mark, Nice that you seem to be going through our catalog bit by bit. No, there isn't a word of Robbie on it... I doubt I could ever get him to sing anything. Maybe he would say something, but we've never had the question. I always assumed he wanted to avoid singing/speaking himself, as he's always used vocal samples on his own tracks. But who knows... maybe he would do it after all... I can ask him.

Ear candy ... Wayne, you're just too kind! Our hearts soar into heights like hawks. I initially thought the idea of starting a project that was all about space funk would get on everyone's nerves after a while, but it seems to be going quite well. So: as long as the universe is black, the shooting stars are flying and the stars are twinkling ... we're in!

Hi Cam, oh yeah, you know, about the genre names... we (and I think a lot of others too) always have the same problem with that descriptor: you never totally fit into anything. We could have chosen "Fusion" but I hate that term...to me it always suggests a style of music I really don't want to be associated with. Then it's more "Psychedelic" ... that fits better and is far more authentic (at least in relation to me).

Hi Mark, it's great to hear you enjoyed it. Believe me, if my mother tongue were English, I could certainly express my joy in a much more vivid way. For me (and I'm pretty sure for Robbie too) you are a musical capacity, if I may use this antiquated term, and in this respect it is always particularly exciting to hear your judgment. I don't know about Robbie, but personally I'm always so unsure if a track we make can be enjoyed by other people or if it's totally for the bin.
