A fellow electronics enthusiast I see. Pretty cool here. I'm not always too keen on these sounds since they tend to sound a bit primitive, however, they certainly add a certain characteristic that stands out. Nice job. What are you using as the main board? Arduino? I checked your profile and see you also use ChuCk. There was a time when all I used was ChuCK (and other apps): this might be interesting to you:
Hi siensystem, The board has two components: A dual Boolean Sequencer and a pair of Karplus Strong circuits. The BS generates a binary count and sends it into logic and resistors to make control voltages of long sequences. The KS performs string synthesis, which generates sort of guitar-ish and drum-ish sounds. ChucK is a major tool for me, I've been coding in it for nearly three years now. I modeled the BSKS circuits in ChucK before building them which helped a lot. Thanks for the video link and I'm glad you liked the track. Thanks.
Awesome track! It's cool to have another electronics builder on the site! This song sounds pretty cool, I'm curious what chips you used to build this little synth. Nice one! Welcome to Looperman!
Hi Spivkurl, the Boolean sequencer is made of LMC555, CD4040, CD4070, CD4073, and TL074 chips. The Karplus strong is made of LMC555, BL3102, BL3209, and TL074 chips. Thanks for the warm welcome!
Hi Inventor..and welcome to looperman!...interesting sounds, what are you using as a controller? sounds like a rotary device,as opposed to a keyboard with octaves, there's a couple of circuit benders on the Loop,SpivCurl to name one...I've always found electronics interesting but only profess to know a little guitar circuitry and basic amplifier maintenance...behind every inventor lies an inquiring mind and untold projects I'm sure...nice to have you aboard!..cheers planet :)
planet, the controller is a Boolean Sequencer, which is a clocked binary counter driving logic into a resistive summing network. I know, technobabble, but that's what it is. I can explain further if you're interested and ty for your comments.
FDV, I posted a second song that has the same boolean sequence but percussive operation of the Karplus Strong circuits. The two can be mixed together to create a song with two drum and two guitar voices. Hope that helps.

Very old work. But all done in ChuCk with some things being done in post.
Anyway, pretty cool.
