It's exactly the right thing for you to use your music to speak out about uncomfortable truths. I can still remember Country Joe's "I feel like I'm fixin' to die rag" from the movie... at first I thought it was funny, but then it hit me with all its black force. Harnessing fame like this is a key power of music and musicians, indeed of any artist. We have to thank you for that and think a lot.
PEACE
Hello Micky, nice to see you back! Well, we've done it again and yes, we're proud of this song. But at some point we'll open our "box of trivialities" again and let the sentimental syrup drip from the ceiling with lots of love, of course *grin*. But you're absolutely right: It's important to think not only about our own comfort, but also about those who have fallen into hardship through no fault of their own. I hope this inspires some of you to pause for a moment and give at least a little of your time to those in need. Thank you for that. Best wishes from the other side of our capital, Manuela
Hello Richard, Thank you for your kind words. This is actually the first time weve addressed the situation in Gaza through music. However, its not entirely new territory for us. In the past, weve repeatedly expressed critical views on political and social issues through our songs. Just think of tracks like The Boss 1 and 2, Mary, Soul in Chains, or Mein Name ist Ellen, to name just a few - there are more.
Hi Manuela.
A powerful track you have here. As an artist, (of many mediums) I always create the kind of art that exposes the dark underbelly of humanity. I push into faces that which tends to be swept under the rug to be forgotten about. Therefore, I like the message in this. Politics be damned. It's just a cancer on humanity if you ask me.
As far as the track itself goes, there are a couple things that I think could use some adjusting, and to be perfectly clear, my critiques are purely on a technical standpoint. The song itself, the composition, the instrumentation, the vocals...they all sound great as they're written. Just some recording issues that can easily be adjusted.
The first thing I noticed was the lead vocal track volume. It's much too far forward, and the backing vocals are much too far away. I think if you bring them to a happy compromize in the middle it would sound much more balanced.
The second thing is the drums. They are almost inaudible. (at least on my gear, anyhow.) Very quiet and could definitely use a boost.
The overall mix sounds as if you've over-compressed. Maybe loosen that up a little to give everything some breathing room.
I hope all is well with you and "the group".
Take care.
Aaron.
Hello Aaron (V), First of all, thank you for your kind words about the lyrics and music, and also for your constructive criticism and thoughtful suggestions. I believe weve already incorporated a small part of what you mentioned in our latest upload. We - my colleagues and I - are doing well. The song has sparked a few discussions, and were also pleased about the recent decision by the federal government (although its unrelated to the song) to finally put more pressure on Israel. Lets see where that leads. Warm regards to Mrs. (V) as well, and please know that your opinion and feedback are genuinely appreciated.
this is powerful and poignant which ever side you view it, wars are for the powerful to make money, trade in arms is worth a fortune as is the illegal trade also, and although troops take significant losses which is an acceptance from soldiers when they sign up they may have to go to war, it is the civilians that suffer the most and were lots of the dead come from, and if your already in poverty your an even easier target, what is happening in Palestine is genocide, to see skeletal bodies starving, they can't stand let alone defend themselves and still being bombed is disgraceful, we humans have come a long way but we still ignore the truth in front of our eyes for fear of reprisals, ive said it before, we are the worst species our beautiful planet has ever had the misfortune to host because we are greedy and we take to much. its not changing anytime soon,
songs are a great way to highlight the issue protests do nothin more than create division, so a huge pat on the back to everyone for your bravery of course people will see it as anti-sematic, but its not , its the truth, you delivered it beautifully yes Israel has a right to defend itself, i totally agree, but this isn't defending itself from Hamas, or at war with them, this is open sight massacre of innocent civilians for a strip of land, our countries have done nothing to stop it we all provide more arms, all the bullshit talk is hypercritical of our countries great piece like this can inspire, the misery and suffering of war is truly scary that is the message this drives home huge applause
Hello Paul, Youre absolutely right about what you wrote! But to truly make an impact, these songs and I dont necessarily mean ours, there are many others, some even betterneed to be widely shared. Unfortunately, thats unlikely to happen. It will probably remain a small, pleasant success on the sidelines, but we wont reach the broader public with it. By the way, weve already been removed from one platform, with the reasoning that it was a one-sided propagandistic political portrayal. And yes, weve received some interesting fan mail as well. *smile.
Emotional and powerful stuff Manuela. You did such a serious topic justice with your words and voice. I'm saddened so much by what is happening over there. I spent several months on the West Bank in the early 90's and enjoyed working with both Isrselis and Palestinians, and a bunch of lovely Thai workers. It was an exceptionally interesting place on so many levels.
Thank you, Chris. Its not the everyday people you and I connect withits those who see themselves as superior, who fear losing the privileges theyve acquired, often with the support of others. Im referring to certain political leaders, major shareholders, hedge funds, and autocratsthose few individuals who hold a vast portion of the worlds wealth and are deeply anxious about relinquishing even a small part of it. Youre not among them, and neither am I. Like you, I value the people who live there, regardless of their political or religious views. What I struggle with are those who, in pursuit of their own advantage, undermine the dignity and well-being of others.
Hi Manuela
Sorry for my mistakes, should be "beliefs" and not "believes", and "when it is for other countries" instead of "when it us for", that was s typing error......
I once wrote a poem about war, from the side of the warrior, the soldier. I hope I will make a decent musical presentation to upload it here, on LM. I will consider it an action, a call for peace in our world. It was written many years ago, but things haven't really changed....
Enjoy a bright day, it's Sunday!
Hello Anthony, please go for it! I sadly feel that our world is heading straight toward disaster. Most people wont realize it until its too late. Many are trapped in their own indifference - and unfortunately, they may be consumed by it. We may be just a small community here, but perhaps we can help awaken a few hearts and minds.
Hello 2Sisters, thoroughly enjoyed this track, my thoughts are definitely with all the suffering on all sides of this madness...a very beautiful song, hats off to you guys .
Thank you, Glenn! Unfortunately, the song won't change these dramatic circumstances. Reason seems to have finally fallen by the wayside. Best regards, Manuela
Wars, heroes, victims, life, death, innocence, guilt, past, future, it is so confusing and breath taking, yet simple, a child has the right to live and be the future, a mother has the right to breastfeed her children out of love, people have the right to have their countries and beliefs, people have to respect these rights and believes when it us for other countries and all have to respect freedom and freewill. But it has never been this way, there have always been wars and cruelty, people who kill people and there have always been innocent victims. We need to cry and we need to shout loud like Manuela and we need to act. We say politics, but it is people who give power. It is so confusing, difficult. Introspection...who is guilty..who's to blame for?
Great song, great act from all of you beautiful artists.
My compliments for your music and deep concern about human life.
My regards, Anthony
Hi Anthony, Thank you for your thoughtful and well-considered comment. You're absolutely right on all points, and I truly have nothing to add nor would I want to! Warm regards, Manuela
They say that human civilization has reached 0.73 on the Kardashev scale and supposedly ... we are doing well !! But if we asked anthropologist Margaret Mead, she would tell us that unfortunately her own rating would be very low - below the base !! Mead once said that the point at which civilization begins is helping someone in difficulty. On our technologically "civilized" planet, 30,000 children die every day from hunger......!!!!! And what is happening in Gaza and elsewhere are signs of a failed civilization that is heading towards the end of days .... Great track Sister - sweet and warm music - wonderful vocals - great message !
Best Regards ! F.
Thank you, Fani. Im not familiar with Margaret Mead, but her statement is accurate. Unfortunately, prosperity is often built on the suffering of those living on the margins of society. You are absolutely right in your assessment of our so-called civilized planet and its failing civilization. However, we are part of that very system. Many people support the idea of redistributing wealth, but most are only willing to do so if it doesnt significantly affect their own level of comfort. Nevertheless, certain things should never be accepted especially war and violence, which are almost always driven by questionable motives. The primary motive is often financial. When economic growth stalls, destruction is sometimes used as a means to create new opportunities for rebuilding. Its deeply troubling. Best regards, Manuela
Wow, this is heartfelt and poignant.
The reality of what's happening.
You sing it beautifully with so much emotion.
!0 stars for my little one and the rest of the group.
Amazing!!!!!
Thank you, Mom, for your kind words. We tried to shape this song to be as emotional as possible, while also stirring something within the listener. Its lovely to know that it came across that way. Lots of love, Your little one
I meant to say I can imagine this in a musical but it would also be a good charity single if there is a trustworthy charity that is helping Gaza - as you know, it isn't lack of love from decent people that blocks aid, it is the greed of politics. Beautiful vocals
Yes, weve thought about that too. But as far as we know, there currently isnt a trustworthy organization with open access to Gaza. Also, to generate donations, the song would need to be more widely known. Unfortunately, the radio stations weve approached have declined. Theyre not interested in sparking controversial discussions. Sadly, thats the reality were facing.
A real wake-up call - this encapsulates the shock and misery of war and inescapable truth of politics. The lyrics are heartfelt and strike a cord in your heart. It really brings home that greed and power should not reign supreme over humanity. Powerful, sad and shocking, yet poignant.
Thank you, Kay! Over the past few months, weve had intense discussions within the group about the lyrics and how to express them musically. Its not easy to release a politically charged song in Germany especially one that, while not explicitly addressing Israels role in the conflict, still touches on sensitive themes. Because of Germanys history, its easy to be misinterpreted and unfairly placed in an antisemitic corner, even when thats absolutely not the case. Thats why it was so important for everyone involved to fully stand behind both the lyrics and the music.
I want to clearly emphasize that Israel, like any other country in the world, has the right to defend itself. BUT what is currently happening is the open killing of innocent civilians children, women, elderly people, and men who have absolutely nothing to do with the atrocities committed by Hamas. They are simply unlucky to be living there.
Thank you so much for your generous praise. Maybe one day it will be possiblebut at the moment, I simply dont have the time for it. Warm regards, Manuela
This track genuinely caught me off guard in the best possible way. The gritty, distorted guitars hit hard and add a raw energy thats impossible to ignore. Its bold, punchy, and refreshingly unpolished in just the right spots. ...Solid work !!
I'm so happy that our song pleasantly surprised you. Thank you so much for your generous praise. Warm regards, and wishing you a great start to the new week. Manuela
Beautiful production 2Sisters. Bold, big, and soaring. Wouldn't change a thing with this, I knew what was coming before it happened. Sometimes we don't write songs, we tap into something in the ether and they manifest...Great job!
Thank you, my friend. I absolutely agree with you. We are shaped by our experiences and memories. That's what we should draw upon instead of constantly trying to reinvent the wheel. Warm regards, and wishing you a lovely start to the new week. Manuela
Hey little one.
Your voice sounds different here but great as always ...i like the opera oehoehoe .
Music is beautifull , so you and the others created a great track again.
Aye, To Be fairrrrr I started listening when they were still Eskimop Callboy, and Nico had just joined. I did go back and listen to the early stuff. But the mix of Kevin and Nico is incredible, and add to it the humor. Chefs Kiss! My Wife said that because she did indeed like your voice and the song. I have never attended a life show of theirs. I am of the age that if I see a live show, I will be sitting and having drinks served to me. (usually a great band on the downturn) I have seen Blue Oyster Cult, Jefferson Starship (Not the crappy Starship), Hot Tuna, Roxy Music, Zebra, I served Dee Snider of Twisted Sister when I worked at Costco when I was younger, Little River Band, Lou Grahm (Foreigner), The Rosenburgs, Live, P.J. Harvey, Veruca Salt. Clint Black, Wynonna Judd, and many more in my life. So, please tell me in the Scorpions' "Are You the One", and in Electric Callboy's "Neon", they both reference the Phrase "Burn the sky". I have only ever heard that as a German expression. What exactly does that mean?
Warm greetings to your wife as well Im really glad she likes the song! Well, age doesnt pass us by without leaving a mark*smile*. Maybe Ill need a chair on stage for the next live performance *smile*. But no worries Im not planning to do this job for that long. But who knows what the future holds!
As for your question at the end: I looked into it quite thoroughly. Heres what I found in my research:
Burn the sky isnt a standard German idiom, but its a powerful poetic image thats been used by the German artists like Scorpions and Electric Callboy to evoke intense emotion, transcendence, and eternal connection.
Scorpions *We'll Burn the Sky*
Although you mentioned *Are You the One*, the phrase actually appears in *We'll Burn the Sky*, a song written as a tribute by Monika Dannemann (Jimi Hendrixs partner) and later turned into music by Scorpions. The lyrics speak of timeless love and spiritual reunion:
*We'll burn the sky / When it's time for me to die*
Here, burn the sky symbolizes a cosmic, passionate farewelllove so intense it ignites the heavens. Its about transcending death through love.
Electric Callboy *Neon*
In *Neon*, the phrase is echoed in a more modern, emotional context:
We were ready to fly / We were nothing but close to the sky*
While they dont say burn the sky directly, the imagery of being close to the sky and ready to fly suggests a similar emotional highlove or connection so intense it feels like soaring into the stratosphere.
German Expression?
While burn the sky isnt a traditional German idiom like *Da brennt die Luft!* (The air is burning!used to describe a heated atmosphere), it may resonate more deeply with German speakers due to cultural associations with dramatic, elemental imageryfire, sky, transcendence. Its poetic rather than idiomatic.
Yeah. Even made my wife go "who is this" I was almost envisioning you going the Electric callboy route with a massive death thrash bridge, that solo was hot, My only suggestion on that guitar sustain at the end to have it slightly feedback on itself, but otherwise a real banger!
Well, I hope your wife said that because she likes the song smile. I'm truly honored that you compared me to Electric Callboy and even placed us near the dash-trash genrethat's a perspective I hadn't considered before! Are you familiar with Electric Callboy? Did you attend one of their shows during their world tour? Warm wishes, Manuela.
great vocal Manuela, a different tone from you, it rocks, the guys on guitar sound great and Ulli on drums is hard, you sound like a rocker and i love the ooh ooh oohs great production a fine piece i bet it sounds good live too, i do like you on this style,
Hi Paul, Thanks a lot! But for us, its not really a different soundperhaps its just that people dont know us that way on LM. As TrueSister, we definitely have our rockier moments, and you know how we sound live! There are even more songs like this on the album.
Manuela! So what I just heard has got me SPEECHLESS! You guys sound GREAT! From the bands drive to those powerhouse vocals. Again Im SPEECHLESS! So remember me when the crew gets that Grammy! Yep when you give your acceptance speech, I want my shoutout LOL! Awesome production. Have a wonderful week. Peace.
Thank you, Mark! I wont mention you in the Grammy acceptance speech... Because youll be right there with meIll drag you up on stage and shout to everyone: Hey, this is Dr. Jazz, my amazing mentor! *smile*. Wishing you a wonderful and peaceful week! Warm regards, Manuela

Its too long most radio stations prefer songs with a maximum length of 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
Its too political for Germany.
