Hi Codger, it's been a while. I love classical and this track only drives that fact home. You did an excellent job on this track. It brings out emotion in me, which is the sign of a great track. All the best in this new year friend.

As has been typical thus far, I have enjoyed this track immensely. It is expertly constructed. One of the best constructed tracks I've heard in a while.
Hearing this as a companion-piece to or extension of Russian Tears, (second movement) and have a sense of more history/commentary in the making - the Metropolis references are very moving and effective. A striking track (pun intended (it's a curse)).
Then again, I could just be completely off my nut.
Respect, Codge
Hello Michael ~ I never intended this track to be a companion-piece to Russian Tears but you've got me thinking ~ Maybe a third movement and a fourth ~ Great respect back at you...
I find this to be a very emotional track. I picture a funeral procession of person who was a respected hero of sorts. War hero ? I also see a panning vision over a battle field after the battle and the devestation. Not a pretty picture in my mind. However very nice job of being able to put those images in my head. Take Care.

i can see this on a ww2 documentary when they get to the battles of stalingrhade and kursk. at some point, i want to download this and add some drums to it, i got a few things in mind. really good work.
When I listen to classical music I always get images in my head ~ Please download it and enjoy your self with my blessing ~ Thank you for your review kazukum...
No I didn't study classical music ~ This is just my attempt at doing a classical piece and that's why there are just a few instruments ~ The software I used was Hypersonic and no instruments ~ Thanks for your review...
This is a clever track you have put together Codger. At first I thought it was a jolly little tune, then I realized the title and it puts it in a whole different light. Seeing as you got this image of an old guy as your avatar it got me thinking as I was listening about how futile things can be for old people...indeed for us all. Your tune has a hint of angst in it and just hits home the idea of futility. One final comment, there is always hope as it's a small village in derbyshire.....
impossibly fun - maybe irrepresible is the word i'm looking for if i cd only spell it - it rocks, it has that frampton between-the-teeth-thingy, it wahs, it chases a flock of segulls at the beach - a serious thanks for your wonderful soul music
Wow, nice track. I like when you wound it up and took it to a totally different level then brought it back to the violin. Well done, dl and fav!! Thanks for another treat!
Well Jazz, I'im in:). Sax does not seem to be live played - touch could be keybordish. But has nice color and melody. Only one thing which should not be as much modest is that cymbal :). Seems a bit recession to me:). Nice work!
holy crap i agree, i wasnt expecting that intro. I am fan of synths though so that hooked me! this is got a certain pink floyd element to it in my opinion man. I really like what you did here. Favorite from me
Nice to hear from you Wayne ~ It is romantic and something else ~ I'm afraid that is me crooning ~ I hope your nightmares have ceased now after listen to it...
Your music is always so uplifting, I seem to feel so much better after listening to your tracks. I liked the choral pads and vocal type effects you had going on. Nicely put together in a unique way. Gonna dl and fav, I think this is something I want to listen to now and then, thanks!
