Nice use of those eastern type instruments. really cool and different, keeping heads knocking with that funky beat.

Thanks. It's been a sound I've had stuck in my head as of late. Eastern sounds that is.

Apparently, I listened to this before and fav'd it, but didn't give a review. Well, the fact that I faved it says tons. I must have been so awed that I forgot to review.

This is is great track. Everything about it is great.

Well done

John

Thanks, on both accounts. Yeah, this song kinda stands out for me amongst the mid-eastern sounding music I did as of recent.

Two of the guitars are Turkish Lutes, one Oud and the other Saz. I think I might have used a Koto in it as well.

Thanks again John. Did this one before I got Logic and the production isn't quite where I want it. Might be revising it soon.

Another very nice piece. A great fusion of different elements. Where did you get all those mid eastern loops?

John

SixFingeredMan replied Unknown
Most of the mid-estern loops came between Garageband Jam packs and Logic Pro as well as the instruments for them. So, some are loops and others the Audio unit or VST instruments used to make loops for the songs.

good ish homie, loving the sounds. maybe a harder kick and bass would really make it a head knocker

I agree. It was the first song I had done in months on newer software on a new computer. I may go back and put it in Logic and make it sound bigger. Thanks for the review.

on East West by SixFingeredMan
Very sweet beginning, nice transitions. Great eastern feel, another one that would fit well with Xerxes Advance. I can see it during the night festivities: Everyone is indulging as Xerxes watches over them, using the indulgences to maintain his control over them. Another fav and a dowload.

Great piece, brother

chilled out. the drums are sick and the string is too. nice job except it sounds sorta house at about 0:25 which is kind of random but it all melts together eventually

Thanks again. Thinking of doing a couple more slower songs like that. Perhaps more cinematic; all thanks to hearing some of your work.

Nice track. Seamless production. Second track I've listened to that would fit well with my track Xerxes Advance. By the way, thank you for the review.

This is a sweeeet piece. If we can find a few more tracks that would fit, we might have a nice little cd (if for nothing else, our own enjoyment).
