Hey Kevin thanks for the feedback and faving this one, was lucky to have such great material to work with, very happy with the tracks response. cheers.
The vocals & percussives on this song are outstanding. And I think this is a really interesting blend of rock & tribal/new age. Dunno why, but this makes me think of that trip sequence in the movie Beavis & Butt-head and kinda like what would've happened if Beavis had tripped longer, ya know? Anyways, nicely done. Lates!
Thanks again buddy for checking another.
agreed, the vocals and percussives are the key ingredients to this one, never thought about the rock aspect, but you are the second person to say that and listening again i hear the element for sure....thanks for the comments.. peace.
hehe my twisted mind thinks juxtaposing cold digital elements alongside.
You are really great with vocal manipulations... I just love that man.
It's odd for me.. because as an individual... I feel the context of what you are giving here... There's this spirituality about it. And I hear a lot of the talk with dub and it's spiritual roots. I get that.. that trance thru the transients on the delays and 'verbs giving the sound the largeness.
I really really respect you dubheads.. But I think when it comes to a social order in myself, there's something that screams an internal dissent. I can't explain it.
It must be something about how this track particularly has this incredible way of subduing the listener, as it has with the past few tracks I have heard.... And coming from my background, I like to reach out and just SHAKE the listener.... I really like the idea of tapping into that "spirituality".. almost shamanistic pose in the crossleg... Incense burning.
As a listener ... I had a fantastic feeling of association and disassociation with the music, and my reality.
That kinda experience hearing a piece of music goes beyond a favorite and a thank you.
Awesome stuff man.
Sorry for ranting lol
It's great people are getting the spiritual feel of this piece, i think myself when you hear the original Avonaco chant, he really put his spirit into it...along with n0mads drums which carried some of that spiritual aura he has over his own music...really makes the track what it is...
i was just the medium between these two spirits lol
Really though, glad you got something from the track it was a pleasure to work on. cheers.
a lil down home electrified country funk. hellz yep! this is a tough song bredd, seriously. i realized about half way thru the second listen i had my eyebrows n lipps all squeezed up. and i was bobbing my head like a rooster! mean stuff!
ha!
be well my brother =}
Nice one Ark, glad you could get into this number...electrified country funk...yeah man, lets hope the wind never changed when you had your eyebrows and lips all squeezed up.lol
Still hitting the 'gorilla taktics' on the player, now that is a mean track, quality buddy.
OK, this was pretty awesome! The organic feel, the wonderful sounds and powerful drums and percussion blew me away. You always amaze me! I liked nomad's "urbin aborigine" comment, that's a perfect way to sum it up, haha!
If you still have my email, could you send me a copy or maybe after a revision at some point, thanks in advance!
Thanks wayne yeah 'urbin aborigine' i love it..i think this track represents when the native indians discovered Jeans lol.
Glad you dig the track, yeah Seans drums are are a powerful part of the track, glad to get the approval on this.
Sure... i may revise this one over the next few days, i will be sure to send you a copy.
After hearing this one stream here, I'm actually thinking a whole series of those drum loops used in remixes by various artists might be really cool. I can't believe how much they've changed, and it's got everything to do with taking ownership, doesn't it? Sweet.
This is music for the urban aborigine. TechnoShamanism for the new millennium, or maybe even the sonic schematic for how it's done. It's totally jacked into an ethno-Native American vibe, but bootstrapped into something else, and done respectfully at that. No mean task, and pulled off seamlessly.
Great idea, it would be interesting to hear what other artists do with the drums, much diversity can be achieved i reckon.
Thanks for sharing, they are quality... and for me its what makes this track dance.
Thanks also for the uluation it fitted in there nicely.
I am surpised how easily this track fell into place in such a short time, i reckon the spirit guides were in favour of this one
Thanks for the collaboration, much fun using your material.
