Just to let you know this song still remains in my list of top 20 songs of all time, from anywhere. It still brings tears to my eyes with every listen, and is in nearly all my playlists on my laptop.

thanks so much for your kind words. in return, i will tell you why i wrote this wong, without giving too much away.

someone i care about battled a disorder for many years. she found her soulmate, got married, and had the most beautiful little girl. she asked me once to write a song for the little girl, and seeing as we're on different continents, i came up with this.

i think she likes it as much as you.

i am so honoured that you like this song as much as you say.

This sounds real, piano has very nice and chamber touch. Topic in the lyric is heavy but that makes it soulful. Voice has pleasant color, I see there are cool parts and some where it does not intones well or is overbalanced. Hihats are staccated after each other with no velocity manipulation, that is not easy listening for me, but maybe they should hihlight the heaviness of topic I do not know. Song structure is well done. I like it except those 2 things I mentioned.

hey there, had a listen to some of your tracks. you definately know what you're doing. myself on the other hand... I have no experience in sound engineering and stuff like that. So when you tell me the "Hihats are staccated"... I don't really know what you mean! :) hehehehe You must forgive me, I make music that sounds good to my ears, in the way I taught myself. Your comments and advice is always welcome though, so I will try and learn what you meant in your comment!

Hi Minette,
What can I say?Another beautiful track from you which goes directly to my favs.Your voice is absolutely fantastic here and perfectly fits the melancholic and haunting feel to the song.I agree the strings would probably bring something to the track

Good heavens, how have I not heard you on Looperman before?
A better question might be, why haven't I heard you on the radio and television before?

I am not flattering or exaggerating. Female vocals are my favorite instrument, and there are only a hand full of famous musicians that have the same mesmerizing effect on me as your voice does.

I know a hit song when I hear one, and this is a hit. have you sent this to a local college radio station/alternative station? It would def. get a ton of airplay. I like the bells in the middle as well, a very nice touch, and your voice is epic.

Wow, this is really cool. I found it from your forum post about the acapella being up soon. You hit some freaky notes that work in context to the original piece, so I'm really glad I listened to it first, because I wouldn't really know what to do with it otherwise. Great epic track, and I can't wait for the acapella!

Good composition, but just a little thing. Sometime, your voice seems to fall down as if you can not maintain it at its note. It makes a special effect, but, I think that if you make longer expirations (like trainings), you could develope a real beautiful voice, but a voice with a strength, which can give a real presence to you music(s).
It's only my opinion, don(t worry, you have this possibility to better control your voice, so...DO IT !

i agree with you wholeheartedly - i am sure i could do loads more with my voice, just... finding the time. not to try and cover my tracks here... but i was sitting when i did the vocal on this (bad move) - and also, like i mentioned, it was all ad-lib (the lyrics) - so this is a one-take track (on the vocals)
