Yup, I'm definitely lovin this one.. Everything about this track is hittin me the right way. Faved, unfortunately not able to download ha.
Thank you for sharing :)
Thanx man. The string instrument is actually a VSTi by DSK called virtuoso. IT can play up to 6 oscillators so you're hearing a violin, cello, viola, contrabass, and a flute playing together. THe guitar came with fl studio. Peace bro and thanx again
Ain't married, but can see the picture you were trying to paint with this. My mind's going back to a couple of Exes from the past. Kinda like sayin- "Baby, here I want you to listen to something! _Fill_in_the_blank_next_sentence." Coz there are times when words aren't necessary... And I know that you know, that I know that... Wait, what were we talking about again? Oh yeah (trails off mumbling to self).
I think you whipped up a pretty powerful track here, holmes. My only complaint is that its as short as it is ('twould be nicer if it were a lil longer). Maybe you could do some kind of prolonged outro with a solo'd instrument (like some take-off of the Piano's middle notes). Anyways, that's all I got. Cool stuff!
Side note, why'd ya delete outta curiousity? I remembered your old SN and was just thinking that you had opted to change it before I read the description of this. Don't gotta answer if ya don't wanna. Alright lemme check out the song now.
Play 2 now...
This def has a very soulful quality to it. Kinda reminds me of some of MJ's older stuff (late 80s R&B/Pop). Which is an interesting twist because usually when I think religious my mind either goes to Gospel or the holiday Hymnals. Making it nice and contemporary. In keeping with what you see sometimes on the Christian channels when they do the music hour.
On the tech side, I think the Piano is what I like the most about this. And the strings and horns do a nice job of accentuating them. The drums are cool too, though I'd think about maybe changing them to something softer (like a Jazz brush kit). They'd flow better with the overall vibe I'm thinkin. Other than that this is a pretty solid composition ya made mate. Cheers!
This track sounds like an intro to a movie thats an action/thriller. The orchestra sounds very full toned and the bridge where the beat goes solo is very well placed and formulated. I really dig this track man. Keep up the great work
Yeah, I totally got the "Requiem for a Dream" thing.
I am thinking about my own stuff more, but ... it's really hot on the mixing side... super compressed or things are .. yeah
Dude..
Compression.?
on the 300-700 range... it's not bad..
I mean
My MOUTH is OPEN.
You rocked this.
But looking at it.. like.. from an artistic point of view.. I would have maybe done things differently with the cutoff of some of your freq's...
VERY nice piece of art dear.. The sound quality is much, much better than some of the other new songs.. Guess it's because, You have used Magix too? This melody could be used for a movie.. Nice blend of different sounds..
Yep Magix is one of the most advanced softwares in terms of what it does for you. It's awesome how it allows you to change the speed and pitch on the wave loops. All I did was grap sum loops and put them together. Sadly magix doesn't work well on 64bit windows 7 operating systems even tho they claim it does. Therefore I don't use it any more becuz I upgraded my PC recently. thanx for the review, and the hug lol.
I love how this deals with the theme - it's deep and serious and you gotta work a little to appreciate the real sweetness of it.
Suggestion? Maybe another drumline or percs entering in later to enhance the sense of two if that makes any sense... much respect
Sorry to hear about your accident. It's obviously not detracted from your music production, if anything it's added a new dimension. Your track here is very powerful in the emotive and sonic sense and is a very clever mix between orchestral sounds and the hip hop beat. Definately ablaze ! long may your fire burn thru your music...
