dude, this song's gotta win coolest title of year hands down! i like how you've got that slicky bass line over the rolling drums, very cool. very cool programming. i can definitely hear the puppy and ministry influences, but not in a bad way, if you follow.
hey, man, i ran across your page looking for other rivetheads so i thought i'd check out some of your tunes. this song freakin jams! the pads remind of 'mind the perpetual..'. slamming drums, pumping synth line, this track rocks. i like the glitch elements sliced in there, nice change of pace.
great track... i def would like to u see u play wit the rate.. really was expecting that wobble to get moving later on... and possibly bring up the drums a bit..
Not bad for a first try. Definately got the bass right. I would have to agree with ET on the compression and EQ, Try adding a M-Class EQ to the hardware device on your digital rack. Turn on param 2 adjust the frequency to around 3 kHz(or play with until preferred sound is achieved), and turn the parametric nob all the way down, then play with gain until you get a crisper sound without clipping. (note: you can do this on individual tracks, too. such as the drum track and the bass to make the single track a little crisper. Try slappin an m-class compressor on the drums and tweakin' around with the nobs to get the snare attack on par with the kick (go for a low threshold, no soft clip, and play with the ratio, attack and release.) Also, if you leave the reason mix low when you export, it makes a lot more room for master compression and EQ). I usually also right click on the hardware device, select "create effect", then select 8-band parallel compression. This should really thicken up your sound, too.
The song is great! its got nice wobble and pitch work, I would like to hear you play with the rate a little more on the oscillator, but this is just preferrence. All in all this is an awesome first attempt. If you get the Muff out it will surely rock!
keep em comin!
~Cheers!~

Terrible? I never said anything of the sort! This song is very very good composition, It's just the engineering side that needs some work.
Naughty. Cool track man, need to work on the EQ and compression etc a little, all the elements are a little flat right now. Need to bring the drums out a little, crisp and beef them up a bit with some EQ. Maybe whack a big distortion on the bass too, just something to make it stand out. Got some good elements in there man, keep them coming.
Aight, I'll give it a whirl. I played it VLC and it wasn't flat there (eq was off). But yeah I'll play around with it a lil more. Thanks for listening and the advice.
man i thought i was whacky with the titles i like the idea but i dont like the fact that u didnt get any sleep,THAT'S VERY IMPORTANT! for our music minds LOL the sounds in here are like glitch and sex there both great things to do(drum sound effect)
anyway great track man loving ur style.
Actually, thats when I like to create. I dunno what it is, but after I'm up for 24 hours straight I come up with some weird stuff (not just music). Oh, lack of sleep + 50 cups of coffee. :)
But yeah, thanks for stoppin by, glad you liked it!
re jump-cutting - a lot like what yr already doing at around 2.23 where the tempo has an instant shift rather than bein dialed up or down - but using a nano-second of black or white or pink space to heighten the dislocation - startle the temporal lobe - a synaptic discontinuity in the sheets of sound. goddam i sound like i need more coffee or something, maybe librium. peace K.
man you know how to end a track - that little click blew a fuse. i'm digging the twists and tweaking on this - y'know what might be fun on those tempo changes is jump-cutting to diminish the knob-twisting aspect as well as more subtraction/addition of the sound materials, not exactly dub-wise but weird the way you are - stay that way!!
Thank you I do intend to stay this way. Glad you liked it and thanks for giving it a listen.
Now, I'm not following you on "jump-cutting to diminish the knob-twisting aspect". What does that mean? I'm kinda new to this so lemme know what that means and I'll see what I can do.
Hard hitting drums are my favorite. I like to get all up in your face with that kick and snare. And get that creepy lil synth behind it and bam. Thanks for listening.
