You showed me yours (I liked it), now I'll show you mine:
https://youtu.be/H-HNTz-q6rw

This is a 4 year old video when I called myself "Flyt 143". It is now of course "Cosmo and Friends". I am singing the backup in Spanish and English. This is Lake Chapala, Mexico where my wife and I moved to 3 years ago. Wonderful people and incredible weather (today sunny 29c, never below freezing). If you let it play, I think other Flyt 143 videos might come up.

I think you misunderstood me, or I misspelled it. Sorry, my English isn't very good.
I didn't mean you, but certain people around me who can't understand that I don't dress and live like a granny yet. I actually like that you're so accurate about me.
And if I'm completely honest, I'm a very quiet and shy person, but my beats and vocals can be quite chaotic. I think that's the hidden Rita, lol.I'll give you a link to one of the first beats I made.

I've never allowed myself to become "old". Music helps. The blues track you did was special. Not only was it great, but the only blues I can remember on LM. I wonder if you can help me. I just finished a 12-song album for "Cosmo and Friends" titled "My Name in Lights".
https://cosmoandfriends.bandcamp.com/album/my-name-in-lights-album-12-songs
(or go to BandCamp.com, search "Cosmo and Friends" Palm Springs)

If you could listen and tell me which songs you like and have commercial appeal, that would really help. There is a contact form on the page or my email is on my profile page. Everybody is welcome to listen and comment.

I need to Replay lol.
Im not chaotic thats right.
But i dont want to be placed in a box . Special not because of my age. Why i must act like a older woman if im not that old in my mind lol. Im just a little different but not in a bad way.
You can hear that in my music and specialy in my older beats.
Im from Rotterdam .. so much better then Amsterdam :)
Cosmo
Cosmo replied 19th Feb 2026 - 2 months ago
It's right below here for everyone to read. Did NOT accuse you of being chaotic. I said you strike me as a free thinker. I said I like your uniqueness. You have a very nice profile picture. I never mentioned anything about your age. I don't anyone older than me, 75. They all die off. I will listen to your older beats for the "other" side of Rita. Promise you. Never been to Rotterdam. I imagine it is a wonderful place. Stay beautiful, Cosmo

Hi Cosmo.
Nice that you think of the children.
This track and the voices sounds good.
Your sister would like it if i read how you discribe her

Hi Rita. After listening to your tracks, I believe you and my sister could have been good friends. I am NOT saying you are chaotic, however I would say you both strike me as free thinkers. I like your uniqueness. In 1995, I went to the Netherlands countryside and Amsterdam. It is a beautiful area. Thank you for listening and commenting. Cosmo

Cyberflares, right after the "burn the f*cking house" part there is a female voice who says "I like it". I hear my sister every time. Next I had include the line "keep on fighting". That is what she would have told her two daughters. I'm Irish on my father's side. Never been to Ireland or Scotland. I would like to go but time is running out. Thank you for commenting. Take care, Cosmo

What an excellent tribute to a lost sibling! I think these are more heart felt tributes than what you normally see. You would know best what kind of tribute she wanted, so excellent work. I dig it, and m condolences for the loss of your sister.
Cosmo
Cosmo replied 19th Feb 2026 - 2 months ago
Backscatter, thank you for your kind comments. I am 75 yo and in excellent health. I do NOT think like an old man. Music helps greatly. Death is weird when you get my age. All these persons are "gone" from my life. My grandparents (decades ago), my mother (23 yrs ago), my father 2022, aunts/uncles, my only sibling sister, my step daughter, my first cousins, all but one friend I've known for 50+ yrs. My son 47, two nieces and one 50+ yr friend are the only people left I grew up with. Not seeking sympathy. When you reach my age, be prepared. People disappear. You create new relationships, goals and music to keep going. I am not quitting. More life ahead. Hope this didn't upset you. Thank you for listening. Cosmo

Nice track. Interestingly, we both used the same loop by hyster1a. Check out my song "Bad Dream". Keep it up!

Cosmo! What I just listened to is creativity on steroids. Really slick elements throughout. The ride in the drop top in the summer feeling set the stage perfectly. Then the delay drenched trumpet is a great touch. And yep I'm digging the synth bass. Then you throw in the radio announcement style for track title! Smooth move. The vocal harmonies are flame. The beat is dope like really dope! In conclusion this work gets the Nod & Fave!

Thanks Mark. I just may be Mark's biggest fan. His jazz fusion/funk tracks are over the top. Search kingmt99 and play a few. You will be amazed. A lot of talent on LM. Talk to you soon Mark. Cosmo

Thank you Cyberflares for your encouraging comments. Everyone who comments should know that I automatically go to your tracks, listen and comment. Usually more than one track. It's how I show appreciation for you listening and commenting. LM is a community of music brothers (sisters too). I thank everyone for participating. Cosmo

This ones dope, esp the bass. I like seeing Darren getting a shout out, he's been the Loop Hero of the community for awhile. And he's a cool dude to talk to. Idk any of the others but it seems like they do good work as well. I rarely use loops because i like to do all of my own sound design, unless its a collab. But they're the backbone of many songs, and its awesome that theres so much variety and talent here in just that catergory alone. Anyway, nice work!
Cosmo
Cosmo replied 11th Feb 2026 - 2 months ago
Thanks for your kind comments. I have all the equipment and software to make my own loops. And I used to do my tracks that way. LM has evolved with over 500,000 loops and some very talented creators like DarrenHirst. I no longer can match the quality and quantity of what's in the LM Library. I consider myself an "arranger producer". I assemble from hundreds of thousands of loops one cohesive track. Right now, that is what is fun for me. Thanks for listening. Cosmo

We love this one, at Kayos2 HQ - you have incorporated all the loops beautifully and the vocals are lovely
Cosmo
Cosmo replied 10th Feb 2026 - 2 months ago
Thanks Kayos2. I owe it all to the LM community. Who would think at 142 bpm and Fm there would be more impressive loops than I could use. BTW, I was just WhatsApped by Kayos3 and they said to say hello to you (kidding). Take care, Cosmo

Well Cosmo
this is a fine work. The sound is excellent and the arrangement as well. You have used in a thoughtful way all the various samples by the LM members you mentioned by composing a fresh, contemporary song to fit them all, along with the great contribution by the saxophone.
i really liked your song.
Best regards, Anthony

Wow, thank you for the nice compliments. This may be the most number of people I used loops in a single track. The vocal and key seemed to accommodate lots of flavors. I had many, many loops I loved but didn't have room in the track. I assume you have tracks posted. I'll go check them out. Thank you for your kind comments. Cosmo

Cosmo replied 10th Feb 2026 - 2 months ago
Thank you, Paul. The feeling of the track allowed for a lot of bass without it being a rap song. To me, that's unusual. But I know most people like that big beat and low end. I'll go check out any tracks you might have posted. Take care, Cosmo

Hi Cosmo, I can partially understand your comment. Even if it may be interesting. I read it quite a few times. I have to understand something before I can believe it! (even if it "appears" I'm in agreement). On a positive note, who hasn't been sold on a lie?
Cosmo
Cosmo replied 11th Feb 2026 - 2 months ago
Sorry, I didn't intend to mean you were in agreement with me. It was a poor attempt at humor. I learned from it. I went to a Catholic University. To get a degree you had to take 1 year studying Catholicism or world religions. I chose to study Hinduism for a year and glad I did. It opened my mind to possibilities. After death, I have had relatives and pets visit me from the other side. I deeply believe in Karma. I communicate with the Hindu Akashic Records to create music. I billion Hindus in India agree (I have visited the Taj Mahal, so have millions of other people). Again, sorry for the misstatement. Wishing you a good life. Cosmo

A great Collab. You must have enjoyed making it. The outcome is brill even if 8 yrs ago. I'm trying to get a weave going on through my own music and this is the kinda thing that inspires me. Thanks for uploading!

Inspirational. Wow that's an incredible compliment. Now you are making me work even harder to earn that. I cheat. I use the Akashic Music Records (search Akashic Records) to make tracks. That's a Hindu belief that all music ever written is stored in a spiritual repository that anybody can access. I let them guide me. PaperKup believes me but now everyone else thinks I'm off my rocker. Oh well. Thanks for your wonderful comment. Cosmo

So what does one do with a minor in music (orchestration concentration)? I scored a TV documentary that was widely viewed (nepotism). I was asked by the Charlie Brown people (you know CB Christmas) to visit them with no offer. I DID finally get a job offer. A major Casino company offered me a job to be the music director for a topless review. I turned it down and got a real job in Silicon Valley. You gotta eat. Thanks, Kayos2 for your kind comments. Thanks dimestop. One of the challenges was writing lyrics in Spanish when I am just learning the language. I bought a Spanish guitar after moving to Guadalajara. My first time playing that too. Lots of firsts here. Thanks again.

Digging this. I love Latin music but as you say, this is New Latin music. I like the almost sparse arrangement in places, there's almost a dub or ambient influence somehow in there, as well as the jazz, and world elements. Love marimbas too. Great work, thanks for sharing. Zoot.
