Kayos2, everybody else is gone for Valentine's Day. In Mexico they call it "Dia de Amor". But I can always count on Kayos2 to listen. You're my favorite listener. Take care, Cosmo
That bass is a killer man you have done well mixing those loops together pretty cool in my book and the sax well it speaks for itself but my fav is the bass good job i enjoyed my listen :)
Thank you Cyberflares for your encouraging comments. Everyone who comments should know that I automatically go to your tracks, listen and comment. Usually more than one track. It's how I show appreciation for you listening and commenting. LM is a community of music brothers (sisters too). I thank everyone for participating. Cosmo
This ones dope, esp the bass. I like seeing Darren getting a shout out, he's been the Loop Hero of the community for awhile. And he's a cool dude to talk to. Idk any of the others but it seems like they do good work as well. I rarely use loops because i like to do all of my own sound design, unless its a collab. But they're the backbone of many songs, and its awesome that theres so much variety and talent here in just that catergory alone. Anyway, nice work!
Thanks for your kind comments. I have all the equipment and software to make my own loops. And I used to do my tracks that way. LM has evolved with over 500,000 loops and some very talented creators like DarrenHirst. I no longer can match the quality and quantity of what's in the LM Library. I consider myself an "arranger producer". I assemble from hundreds of thousands of loops one cohesive track. Right now, that is what is fun for me. Thanks for listening. Cosmo
Thanks Kayos2. I owe it all to the LM community. Who would think at 142 bpm and Fm there would be more impressive loops than I could use. BTW, I was just WhatsApped by Kayos3 and they said to say hello to you (kidding). Take care, Cosmo
Well Cosmo
this is a fine work. The sound is excellent and the arrangement as well. You have used in a thoughtful way all the various samples by the LM members you mentioned by composing a fresh, contemporary song to fit them all, along with the great contribution by the saxophone.
i really liked your song.
Best regards, Anthony
Wow, thank you for the nice compliments. This may be the most number of people I used loops in a single track. The vocal and key seemed to accommodate lots of flavors. I had many, many loops I loved but didn't have room in the track. I assume you have tracks posted. I'll go check them out. Thank you for your kind comments. Cosmo
Thank you, Paul. The feeling of the track allowed for a lot of bass without it being a rap song. To me, that's unusual. But I know most people like that big beat and low end. I'll go check out any tracks you might have posted. Take care, Cosmo
Hi Cosmo, I can partially understand your comment. Even if it may be interesting. I read it quite a few times. I have to understand something before I can believe it! (even if it "appears" I'm in agreement). On a positive note, who hasn't been sold on a lie?
Sorry, I didn't intend to mean you were in agreement with me. It was a poor attempt at humor. I learned from it. I went to a Catholic University. To get a degree you had to take 1 year studying Catholicism or world religions. I chose to study Hinduism for a year and glad I did. It opened my mind to possibilities. After death, I have had relatives and pets visit me from the other side. I deeply believe in Karma. I communicate with the Hindu Akashic Records to create music. I billion Hindus in India agree (I have visited the Taj Mahal, so have millions of other people). Again, sorry for the misstatement. Wishing you a good life. Cosmo
Thank you 1Godfather. My mother's side of the family is from Pag, Crotia. I was there once many, many years ago. I see pictures of Pag now days with many night clubs across the bay. I would like to go back. Enjoy Crotia. Cosmo
A great Collab. You must have enjoyed making it. The outcome is brill even if 8 yrs ago. I'm trying to get a weave going on through my own music and this is the kinda thing that inspires me. Thanks for uploading!
Inspirational. Wow that's an incredible compliment. Now you are making me work even harder to earn that. I cheat. I use the Akashic Music Records (search Akashic Records) to make tracks. That's a Hindu belief that all music ever written is stored in a spiritual repository that anybody can access. I let them guide me. PaperKup believes me but now everyone else thinks I'm off my rocker. Oh well. Thanks for your wonderful comment. Cosmo
So what does one do with a minor in music (orchestration concentration)? I scored a TV documentary that was widely viewed (nepotism). I was asked by the Charlie Brown people (you know CB Christmas) to visit them with no offer. I DID finally get a job offer. A major Casino company offered me a job to be the music director for a topless review. I turned it down and got a real job in Silicon Valley. You gotta eat. Thanks, Kayos2 for your kind comments. Cosmo
great vibe you created here, the trumpet is stellar, great vocals , the percs shaker, the boing boing bass, its a party atmosphere and i love the guitars too, spanish guitar being one of my favs the sound is luxurious to my ears beautiful instrument, great mix and production Cosmo, thoroughly enjoyable listen
Thanks dimestop. One of the challenges was writing lyrics in Spanish when I am just learning the language. I bought a Spanish guitar after moving to Guadalajara. My first time playing that too. Lots of firsts here. Thanks again.
Question, what happened to Kayos1? I like your tracks also. Creating a new genre has it challenges. But this was a lot of fun. Thank you for your kind comments. Cosmo
Ah, you make me blush. Working with good people results in a lot of good times. Ben Edwards of the UK is an extremely talented trumpet player (worked with Amy Winehouse). And the husband/wife team who did the vocals came off really good. Thank you for listening. Cosmo
Digging this. I love Latin music but as you say, this is New Latin music. I like the almost sparse arrangement in places, there's almost a dub or ambient influence somehow in there, as well as the jazz, and world elements. Love marimbas too. Great work, thanks for sharing. Zoot.
Flat 2 Forge is a good friend of mine and a frequent collaborator, and anything involving the spanish guitar I knew he'd be all over it lol. If he approves how could I not? I can see the story youre trying to tell here quite easily, and its a good time. You can tell you had a good time putting it together too. Well done.
Pnnywze. I have a lot more respect for ABBA. All those hit songs in English when Swedish was their language. I struggled to write lyrics in Spanish without having a command of the language. Thank you for your kind comments. Cosmo
Flat2Forge. Gracias por tu comentario. Me diverti mucho armandolo. Saludos, Cosmo.
Cosmo! What the heck you doing? I'll tell you what, DOING YOUR THANG! You conducted the group in grand style fashion. Mrs. Vicki didn't disappoint at all. How can I not love that south of the border entrance? HEMANIFEZT's vocal contribution communicated the point with absolutely no weakness! I really enjoyed this listen! Take a FAVE!
Absolutely superb - great tune, Bass and female vocal is spot on (forgive the pun, it being about Spotify). Sounds so professional yet fresh -love your work together
If you haven't already, listen to Kayos2's track "Saving Me". It's very beautiful. I am amused by "fresh". The track is years old. I threw it in the music "blender" added new vocals and sax. If it made you smile, it worked. Thank you for listening. Cosmo
Hello Cosmo, enjoy this track about Spotify....it has this weird appeal, the spoken vocals and actual vocals are very good.....along with a good music accompaniment.
Everybody check out Glenn's acoustic guitar tracks. If you want some romantic background music, Glenn is it. Who needs Spotify when have all the talented people right here in Looperman? Thank you for listening Glenn.
It's just for fun. I did a track with HEMAN about 10 years ago here on Looperman. Just a way to reconnect with him. Hopefully it made you smile. Thank you for listening. Cosmo
I print out what I want my wife to say. I walk over to her and put the printout in her hands. I put my phone in front of her with the recorder on and say, "Go". No preparation or preview, she talks into the phone. One time only. Her nickname is "One Take Vicki". Best wishes to you and your wife. Cosmo
