Good work.
Clever usage of the skills of our talented musicians. Well done.
I like a lot this vocal part: clean, with some "body" in the lower tones, very well done.
Nothing to say, just that I liked it.
Ciao, Domenico

PS: the final fadeout could be improved, a little softer on the last seconds (make it last 10 seconds longer)

To be honest when the drums kicked in, I wish they didn't. The singing and simple background sold the song. Whoever sang on this track sounds very unique, in a good way. That's just my opinion. I'm going to listen to more of your tracks.

I like this track and the feel of it. Reminds me of some mid 90's bands that used the DnB beats over a mellow tune as well (can't think of the names right now). Juest read a comment on panning of the vocals. I think that's a great idea.

I do have one addition though. Did I miss a bass here? If not, then it might be a good idea to put it somewhat louder. I do miss it a bit. And I would leaave out the last two repeats of the vocal to be honest. Let it just end with a bang :-).

But great track all in all.

I'll let you know when I have an answer to your question.

Best, Doc

Hi Doc

Matey thank you for the review and your thoughts, much appreciated, yes has a couple of bass lines in track, left them at the level they are because didn't want them over powering the string and flute etc, knew doing this track as with a lot of my non trance tracks always do things little different then the normal genre, meaning what's expected as to that genre, going to add panning to the vocals over next day or 2 when have music PC up running again, agree they could do with it, just to give some variety to the vocals, will look at what you said about dropping last 2 vocals out...Peace n Respect...Mosaic...

This may just be my opinion, but peace is not attainable. And wow ironic, people are yelling outside my apartment complex right now. But no, I just think this because the world isn't ready for that right now. There can be no good without the bad. Even when it gets to a point where it's almost entirely good, there will still be bad. But I don't want to talk your ears off with my opinions, this is a great track. Thought provoking like others said. Thumbs up. Peace

very sweet sound. pleasure to listen to. i like the phrasing of the vocalist - sweet - then at the end a few hard words. the way you bring the groove a little hotter, a little cooler throughout maintains nice interest. peace!

Love the melodies. Easy listening track with some soul. I look forward to your tunes Mosaic. I never know what to expect (which is part of the fun) and I've enjoyed them all so far.

On the technical side, I would of liked to hear the drums a little more up front. Especially the snare. A nice crisp snare sounds great in pop songs like this. And the bass seems a little low too. This could of been exactly how you wanted them to sit in the mix. That's fine too. Just my preference if I was mixing it.

Excellent work from all you guys!

Hey friend

Thank you so much for the review and feedback, very pleased you enjoyed the piece, tried lifting beat up but over powered the vocals so dropped it back to where it is now, settle on these levels to keep with the vibe of the track, we agree levels sounded okies as is, when I sent back to the guys to listen too before uploading here, sadly beat and snare are in one so cant adjust them, as you said it is still okies, wanted to keep the relax feel and vibe to the track, please to give you a pleasant surprise when you come here mate, have a few different ones waiting just around the corner, they even surprised myself lol...Peace n much Respect Renz...Take care dude...Mosaic...

I liked it from the start to the ending. The vocals mixing with the relaxing guitar sounding makes for a great listening experience. I also love the piano-ish sound in the background. Great collab work! This track is great for people who just want to chill and relax.

Thanks for the listen and keep up the great work!

Hey Esti....a different style for you and a very cool tune indeed!..all the elements are sitting beautifully in the mix especially the vocals,up front where they should be but not too distanced from the music....Pop songs in my opinion are some of the hardest things to get right (not that I have any experience in producing them!lol)and maintain a balance between their genre brief of 'popular' and lyrical 'song'..this one scores big points in all departments and even more for being a successful collaboration...look out hit parade! cheers Dave

Great song...
Needs a little " TLC " though...And I know you can do it....
The Acoustic Guitar is just outside it's true dynamic range, so it interferes
with the melody...Instead of flow you've got a fight, if you get my drift...
Simple Remedy: Pull the 2 tracks back and look at her voice like it's her body
you want to slide those guitars right up under her Butt....
Meaning no disrespect HERE.... That way she is sitting on top of them, you
will still have that big sound that you're looking for but her voice would shine
the way it should...And the mix would not have a cloud over it...
This song has a lot of potential don't want to jerk it around...

Peace....TG.

Hi TG

Man thank you for the review and thoughts, had bit of a chuckle way it was put lol, guessing from what you stated the vocal could be a fraction higher in the mix?
Must admit to adding vocal a little lower then I normally would have as one of the stems, had a slight defect to them, but will have another listen later today, if sounds okies might upload again, but for now thinking they are ok in general as they are...Again thank you for your time and review mate...much appreciated...If do change will private msg you via contact tab to see you hear difference...Peace n Respect...Mosaic...

Hey friend, thank you so much for getting me involved with this awesome collab! (and thank you for encouraging me to tune up my bass and plug in for a while!) It's really pretty much the first real pop song that I've worked on, aside from maybe a remix, and I'm proud of the results of the collab! My wife isn't into it, but then she's one of the least pop people I've met ha ha. I personally really like it! You did a great job mixing the different elements and retaining a dynamic popular style sound and feel. Excellent first collab! Fave!

Hey Friend

Thank you for the review but more importantly your input along with Bear, if it wasn't for you two guys, track would not be anywhere as good, if finished at all, was an absolute pleasure doing this track with you mate, First got to do first remix with your night8r stems, now a collab with you and Bear, high lights of my year so far here on the Looperman, apart from finally getting back on the loop, after a shit 2013...Peace n heartfelt thank you Pat...Thanks for fav too mate...Mosaic...

Is this the same song you sent me? Wow, what a difference, like it a lot. My feedback probably was not very good, still not over my cold. But what Spiv and Bear have done to assist you here is pretty cool, gives the song a whole new depth and dimension that the original lacked but I never realized it until I heard this version(if that makes any sense).

Had to give this a few listens. Liked the reversed cymbals, seems to work as a nice effect. The vocals are sweet, she has a nice voice and the lyrics are cool. And of course the acoustic guitar is my favorite part!!

Your first collab is certainly a success my friend, a great track for sure, one of my favs by you(and spiv and bear).

Cheers! Hope all is well my friend!

Thank you for the review, yep same track but you listened too the way earlier edition lol, had some extra work and extra's add to get to where it is now, made possible by our good friends here Pat and Bear, without their help would not even maybe have been finished, so big thumbs up to those guys, yes reverse cymbals, a trick used in trance stuff for transitions, so thought would work in this one, to help with tran's, Over moon you enjoyed this one my friend...Thank you for the fav too...Peace n much Respect...Mosaic...

This is just a fun listening tune for the summer. Nice work. Great talent you have lined up for this one. Catchy hook. Nice vocals. I like the reverse cymbals (Static Nomad most likely won't) You need a nice solo (g-tar or synth for this one. If you send me the stems I might just be able to work on one for you ehh? Nice work mate.

Hey friend

Thank you for stopping by and reviewing this one, had better response then thought it may get, being so different from most DnB tracks up here, yep agree fairly tough genre especially when not having many DnB samples in library even makes it tougher, but did enjoy doing this one, so maybe and just a maybe might try again in future...Peace n Respect man...Mosaic...

Ahh my friend, you have added Trance sensibilities to Drum and bass rawish sounds. good mix. I agree with Val d's assessment of the vox. A cool pan would do wonders. You can get lost in this song (in a good way) good work mucho props from this corner of the web

Hey Steve

Thank you mate for the review, pleased you enjoyed track, seem to add trance feelings into most of my non trance stuff, maybe because trance is my genre to do lol, sometimes a good thing sometimes maybe not... :))...Like said to Val's review don't use vocals much so need to learn different things you can do with them in near future, as want to use vocals more in my works to come...Peace n Respect friend...Mosaic...PS have new POP track up now...Hopefully you will enjoy...

I do like this. It's a pretty mellow track. I suppose in going with the theme, "contemplative" would be a better term.
It's quite fluid within itself. The production quality is very clean. Nothing drowns out anything else.
I think the only suggestion I would have is to do some dynamic panning / automation on the vocals. With that sample being the only one, it's kind of the star of the show. Give it a bigger role. Maybe play with the tail of the delay. Move it around within the track a little. Weave it in and out of the pads. As it is, it's alright, but it gets to be a little repetitive, and has potential to be much more.
Check out FreeRadical's "Bad Boy Sound." It's a completely different beast than this, but the vocals in it are a perfect example of vocal automation within the track.

That aside, I dig the mellow nature of this, and could listen to a complete album full of tracks just like it.
Keep up the D&B trials, man. They're sounding good.
Take care.
V.

Hey Val

Thank you for the in-depth review, much appreciated matey, agree with you about vocals, but not using vocals often in tracks don't have much of an idea how to work them like you said, so maybe will sit down and fiddle around and see if can make better in near future, trying to use vocals more into my tracks now, so will be a benefit doing so, thank for your kind words and that you enjoyed the track...Peace Respect...Mosaic...

Hey SJoking

Thank you for the review of this track, glad you enjoyed the smoothness of the piece, guessing because my fav genre to do is Trance, makes it easier, as in trance you need smoothness and drive to work together, DnB not one of my fav genre's to do, been doing some other genre's of late rather then trance...Thank you for the fav too much appreciated...Peace n Respect...Mosaic...Will head your way later today when have a little more time...Thanks...
