progressive house with a touch of lounge or chillout house or even minamul? i wouldnt realy say trance but that drop at 1.56 bit harsh maybe fade the last loop before that so it smooths overbut keep the transition effect catch u round

to me it also had the electro element of sorts if it was me i proberly woulda put it in the electro break genre but wat would i no i aint no pro but still a good track and ...........i still like hydro better lol oh yeah and if you have trouble with levels of sounds i find it helpfull to listen to it on a couple of different systems(stereos\pa)and also listen to it then have a break listen to another song then go back to it dont worry ihave a few songs with lvls out but i always end up on a new project before i get around to fixin it maybe i might have a repair day
Let's meet half way and say it's progressive trance! I really dig the synths you used on this track! The percussion is really cool, and is mixed well! Nice arrangement too! Well done!
I like the track but I think it can be improved with some better EQ'ing. The main bass (wich is a great sound) struggles a little bit with the main kick drum. EQ'ing can seperate them a bit more.
At the end there comes in a sawtooth like synth wich sounds more as a distortion on the bass then a synth on it's own.
Magic word, EQ'ing.
One of my own pitfall's is that I EQ to much out that sometimes sounds loose their charaecteristics but that's also learning curve I guess...
Great!! i like your style in there and the changes in sound! master and tempo just fine! keep it up my friend you can do better and.. you can always listen to my songs too i hope you enjoy bye!
One thing came up my mind: Different. Very original song. I like it! Only the percussion that's coming in on 0:40 is way too loud. Like your melody. I like it the most when its at the end of the riff its like getting some chord feeling. I think you need to so set your reversed cymbal a bit down 2 and the drums after that part a bit louder so it feels more like kickin in :) Your fx is abit to loud too but very cool. Your build off is a bit too basic try to filter your melody out or use a few parts from your melody. or add some crashes or stuff to make it more interesting. Accept that I really love your experimental track. I love dance music and love drum n bass so nice blend! Cheers - L'Eriqe
Thanks for the review and listen man. Appreciate the detailed feedback and I'm working on getting those points you mentioned sorted out. Glad you enjoyed the track and thanks again.
class track loved that bassline,it has a bit of a tecno feel to it alright, thought the finished mix is a bit distorted from been either to loud or over compressed. great track tho.
Thanks for the listen and the review man. The intro/outro are designed to be DJ friendly, more time to mix in/out on each end of the track. Thanks again for the review, glad you enjoyed it.
Enjoyed the clarity and how the track grew - I see this as progressive trance dude - back in tha late nineties this would sit tight next to Ferry on a club album - well done good effort
I love the progression in this...Definitely started with some hard techno and had me tapping... then the bassline was sweet...Thanks for sharing your work. Nice transitions throughout
Yeah the intro certainly sounded Techno to me. You had a great rhythmic beat going though. Impossible to keep my feet from tapping.
In the end I agree this is Techno-Trance rather than just Trance.
It's good though and I enjoyed it.
Really nice work on this one. It is ambient, but on steroids, haha. I love the drum work, but I also love the way the pads anchor things and keep it on the chill side of the street. It would be fun to see a group of percussionists play this one live. The addition at the 2:50 mark is a magical moment. Beautiful work.
I'm really diggin the vibe of this. And when I looked at the length I was like "WOW", because it isn't often that I see mixes of this length on here (a scant handful, myself included).
On the tech side, one major downside is that there's alot of clipping going on (so I can't really crank it up like I enjoy doing for these reviews). So I'd definitely go back and adjust the levels (particularly on the low end and just a tad on the high side). If ya need/want any pointers or help feel free to hit me with an email and I'll share my tips & tricks with you.
Beyond that this is a very solid track (super club-worthy). Keep bangin 'em out mate. Later on!
Side note- If you the loop you used from here still has the same name it had when you downloaded it you should be able to search for who made it via either set of numbers (member id & loop number).
As for the song, genre-wise I agree with DFury, because it seems like this one is all over the place. The vibe of the synths is def laid back, but the drums (though nice) are making me think that it isn't exactly Ambient. The beat has a little too much energy for it to be, and they're too fast to be House (maybe breaks or drum&bass, shrugs). Perhaps Dance or Fusion might better suit it, I dunno. Moving past that...
I'd say that my favorite part of this is the key treatment (slow and paced), 'specially when paired with those crazy drums.
Technically speaking, ya might wanna watch yer levels when you're playing the keys at higher notes (seems like they're on the verge of clipping). Otherwise, this sounds like a pretty solid composition. Thanks for sharing mate. Lates!
Ha ha thanks for the review man, glad you enjoyed the track (and the haunting ;)). The original mix is on my tracks page if you want to check it out! Thanks again for your feedback.
