nice build for this track, i can hear where this is going.
especially the breakdown is beautifully. some criticism: I am not a bi ofg fan the cut off on the snare, and the other beat at 1.30 is a bit messy too. please make it less experimental. maybe a more soft-nice beat instead of this some what aggressive sound.
thanks for your review man, have cut down the snare with the fancy bits on, plus tidied up the more jungly beat and made it quieter - i think it works much better now. thanks for being honest dude!
Sup Fin,
I absolutely love the retro treatment ya gave this. It kinda reminds me of those old Reebok Double-Dutch commercials (atleast, I think it was Reebok).
And you aint gotta say here, but I'm curious as to what kind of effects ya added to my vox?
Anyways, the drums are nice n 2 or 4-steppin fresh. And the bass pumps cleanly enough to where I could see breakers doin UFOs, arm walks, & flairs with precision.
On a serious note about the rap side, have you seen any of the new Futurama movies? One in particular comes to mind.
Bender's Big Score. Kwanzaa bot's part (voiced by Coolio) is what I was thinkin. Here's a link to a vid of it on YouTube...
This Trinity's Going To War
If you were to go that route...
Anyways, very nicely done mate. Thanks for sharing. Later on!
Thanks man, I'd kill to see people breakin to this. Sick link as well, though I'm not sure I'd call it such a 'serious note'! Regards the vox effects, it's actually surprisingly simple:
1) copy and paste your vocals into 3 audio tracks instead of one.
2) transpose the second track up by 1 step
3) transpose the third up by 2
4) bob's your uncle! (you might need to turn the whole lot down, and i assigned all 3 tracks to one side of ableton's crossfader to make things easier)
This is really cool to me. Upfront soundz, like the vocals too. Keep rollin' these out bro.The only thing i noticed was the lack of intro. But other than that this one is exceptional for someone new @ making dnb. Big upzzz...
Hey, not bad. I think your bass levels are a bit too loud. That's an easy fix though. You did a good job chopping it up and mixing it all in. Sounds good. Keep up the good work!
Thanks again man, was checking out your tracks the other day and your style's really clean and crisp - I'd love to remix one of your tunes if you're up for it.
Did u play everythin and write the track from skratch?? the vocals r not quite in time bruv..i wud try slowin down the whole track by 5-7bpm and get the vocals to sit nicer
im not crazy about the vocals :S but thats not ur fault. in terms of how to improve the tracks, there is some strange popping where your loops start over. makes my speakers crackle. tried it in headphones...same deal. so i dunno, see if you can tweak that a bit, or even throw a sound over it to block it out :D
