This reminds me of Pink Floyd-sounds from the body..or something to that effect..could be a hit..gr8 for a horror movie..interesting enough to keep one hooked..i think i like this ,but i'm not sure why..oh god, shut up lofthouse, this is doing my head in..it takes me back to a special time..when i was a kid..and for that reason,it is a fav!
Ahh, that explains why this song went well in the background whilst I ground some herbs with a mortar. There was something so familiar with this song. I must play it again while I smoke. Thank you for sharing!
thanks, holly!
i enjoyed your submission as well.
glitch is quite a fun experiment.
i was getting ideas about this version before i knew we could use unique materials in the comp, so thanks for helping to get that clarified!
i started making music with anvilstudio which is essentialy sheet music software controlled by midi or pain-in-the-butt tweaking. since then, it's become obsolete, and it wasn't extremely popular in the first place.
when FL came out, my world changed.
i'm not that great at playing the keys and i don't have that great of a midi keyboard so i do every notes duration, volume, release and velocity in piano roll. i find it to be easier that way... much more accurate.
i'm glad you've gotten something out of this track. i was 15 when i wrote it, and it still makes me feel alive every time i hear that first note...
thanks Fresh. at the time i made this track i was getting into a lot of harsh noise and also glitch/minimal so it holds properties of each. it's more of a song documenting feelings and textures so i'm glad you enjoyed it!
This has got an '80s feel to it with the analogue style synths sitting with the piano. It will be great to hear the next 5 parts added. It reminds me a little of Vangelis or Rick Wakeman in how you progress the sounds yet keeping the initial melody. Powerful and majestic track. Great.
i WISH i could play piano the way that i write for it. i'm so glad that you enjoyed the track, i've been on a musical hiatus for a few months and finding this community is giving me much needed confidence.

Im diggin the static
i don't know what
I would classify
this track as
It has a whole lot
going on
The FX are perfect
The buildup/climax
of the song is brilliantly
constructed
Whatever this is
I would like to hear more
you have a very in depth way of
thinking and creating music
and i like the way you present
it in your tracks such as this
I like the way you think
:)
Fav'd

i know its odd to think this but its kind of relaxing.
manipulation of textures and sounds can be extremely gratifying except for when intensity levels are higher than the panic spectrum. [130db+]
my track "folie a deux" has been known to give off strange relaxing vibes as well.

The semi-synths reminded me the song from Beowulf when the queen sings "A hero comes home". Its that soothing and refreshing.
this is excellent. I didn't know how talented you were until I heard this track
Im blown away, i cant wait to get the same sounds out of fl right now
This would be an excellent intro at the mainscren of a video game, reminded me of old castlevania, or WoW when you levelin' up
Good Trax
