Thank you so much for these generous words, sometimes Fl studio makes me able to do something fun, this is a fun musical genre to build, for a long time I still do this oldschool genre.

Amazing rework, I like how you took it to the theaters for the update. Good work example of how to use percussion and strikes. Definitely some late 90s early 2000s ish custom motion work here. Good to hear you still doing what you do. Thank you for sharing with us, Dig it! Peace.

it sounds aboriginal, I like it, to me it sounds awesome, it could be made into a dubstep song, it sounds cool the way it is, it's something diferent, I'm wondering how you made it or was it already a song
Anubis
Anubis replied 19th Mar 2017 - 8 years ago
This is a lighter version, a reconstruction of a song I made:
https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/184029

"it could be made into a dubstep song,"
would it be possible? haha...

This song has a tribal atmosphere with instruments reminiscent of ancient societies, something like that.
Very grateful for the words, for listening and for fav.

See you around my friend

Yo.

You have a big, powerful beat here. The only problem is that it seems to be a really strange time signature. I'm not sure if it's out of time.

But it's a cool electronic blowing sort of didgeridoo sound. Hypnotic tribal electro!

Very busy music and now at 0:58 a weird sort of electro vocal sound, then your flutes. And there is also some brass in the background.

There's no clear melody to this very atmospheric piece of music but it would be great soundtrack music.

This makes me think more of the jungle than mammoths. And I don't think mammoths lived in the jungle. It doesn't really matter.

Good work!

" The only problem is that it seems to be a really strange time signature. I'm not sure if it's out of time.
"

I used a fl studio feature to split the tempo in half, the song goes through 140 bpm, but it holds half, it's complex to explain.

The melodies are muffled by the heavy instruments, the intention was to try to do something more "Dark", equalization is still my weak, I have no knowledge to equalize.
I'm going to rebuild this song and I'll post it today, the sounds will be clearer, a new version of it.
Thank you my friend for the words, comments are of great encouragement and learning,

Welcome in the wild Stone age!
This has really some primitive vibes and sounds and a very dangerous wild dynamic. Ok, maybe it is because i played a lot Farcry Primal last weeks but i think it fits to this time very very well. Wild, dangerous, in the midst of the struggle for survival and full of life.

Very nice one and very well produced. Excellent stuff.

stay tuned

Hey joe
I used heavy instruments to give this primitive emotion, some time ago I also played Far cry primal, maybe it was inspiring hahaha.
It is a great curiosity for me to know how these primitive societies lived, although the books already say a lot, there is still a great curiosity,
Thank you very much for listening and leaving your comment, your words are welcome.

Hi again. I'm back with more thoughts.

0:01 that's a nice sound - bit like something metallic being bowed.

Good sub bass here. And now things are starting to fade in.

0:32 can I hear a violin here? Big fat, d'n'b beats now and everything sounds good.

1:05-1:25 sounds too long. Should maybe be half the length. Nice, rising drum fill before 1:25.

1:46 a break from the drums and that bowed low sound is back. Sounds excellent at 1:54. What is that sound?

2:08 operatic female vocal and then a really dirty, messy d'n'b beat.

It's the little extras such as the strings and operatic vocal that make this stand out from a lot of dirty drum n bass. Those extra sounds make it more musical and enjoyable.

Great work!
Anubis
Anubis replied 11th Mar 2017 - 8 years ago
The sound you hear in 1: 54/55 is the sound of a violin too, but with octaves down.
The violin is often used, sometimes as effects, sometimes as background, I usually modify them to be able to use them in multiple forms.

The bass is something more complicated to create, because it requires a lot of equalization and work to combine with other instruments. But it is fun when it works out.
The vocal is an element that always seems to beautify, I would like to use a lot more, but I think it was in the right measure.

Great piece. The title and the music go together to create a mood. The mix is interesting to me, how the beat seems to ride above everything else but without being overbearing. I like when the vocals come in, all of a piece with everything else. Somehow it all seems to make sense.

Your words are welcome!
It's a bit of work to do with the equalization, I've been trying hard to improve, it's a genre that I do not have much ease with, but when I have a good idea, I'll go straight to try to create it,
thank you so much again.

This is very skilled and complex work!

Great chilled out stuff with some cool attitude. I'm busy right now but will come back to give you lots of detail.

It's the new, more aggressive and electronic Anubis rather than the old, ancient Anubis...

This is truely very cinematic music.
And i bet it put many different movies into the heads of all the listeners.
The flute sounds with this wild drums gives some kind of animalistic tribes power and i really enjoyed that. Everything here sounds wild and dangerous and deep deep green.
Great sounds for sure and a well made mix.

I really enjoyed the listen!

Hey, my friend.

"The flute sounds with this wild drums gives some kind of animalistic tribes power and I really enjoyed that."

The interesting thing is how these tools get along well with each other.
Smooth of the flutes and the heavy of the drums, is something very cool to merge.
This song was on a low bpm, I'm testing other tracks with bpm faster, they seem to work fine too.

Thank you for leaving your thoughts.

Hi Anubis.

This is excellent. Very powerful, ancient stuff.

My only problem with it is that I think it might be too loud. It has quite an aggressive feel.

That flute sound is very memorable and almost like a synth, a didgeridoo and a Jew's harp. 0:11 cool flute notes.

Good drum groove.

0:29 nice small bit of vocals.

0:39 another vocal in the background.

0:46 it sounds a little like Tuvan throat singing. And then the beat returns, with more vocals.

This is is ancient and mystical and creative and well produced. Very tribal music that sounds a least 2,000 years old. This is the soundtrack to a forest, a desert, a jungle.

Brilliant stuff. I wish I could make some music like this!

This is a double favourite for me.

Thank you for the simple words, they are welcome here.
I will be attentive to your counsels.
The flutes I use are Fujaras, and other common ones, the interesting thing is that there is a great diversity of types of flutes, I do not know many.

Hey, my friend.
I am very happy that you have enjoyed this track, flute has been my favorite instrument to insert into my tracks, because of her ability to turn the melody into something more legitimate and interesting, this instrument sounds perfect.
This song is at 110 bpm, so I'll be playing with 140 bpm on other tracks, they work well in that time frame.

Your words are very welcome here, always!
