Listening to this makes me realize that I need updated synths. I love what you are doing with the Dune. Are you playing the parts on the keyboard? Regards - Dan
Hi Dan,
I just had another look at that this track there was more work in it than i remember i used 2 tracks which were dune 1 the first synth they made and one dune 2.5 . I also used massive and Papens Blade synth. I used the keybopard for the pipes which was from massive but i created the pipes sound from inside the synth using some wind instrument i think it was. It is not a preset. Synapse did a deal on the two dune synths they included dune1 cheaper if bought as a pair. I think dune 2.5 is on of the best sounding synth vst out there. best regards Robbie.
Bleep hows it going man good to hear from you. I had to spend some time finding something i could make to sound like a bagpipe but i thought it was near enough to work. As far as the rhodes synth thing at 2.29 i agree im not a fan of it myself but i wanted a variation to the bagpipe sound probably needs more work but im on to another track as usual gotta keep working or my brain stagnates that and having the attention span of a flea does not help my focus heeee :).
I like it. Heavy and psychedelic. The intro and the constant chug, coupled with the laid back lead make you feel like you're out on the road. Mean and free. Cool stuff.
Het Toasted avalanche thanks for the comment you jogged my memory to lookup the soundtrack from the movie easy rider i loved the steppenwolf track on it born to be wild there was some really great stuff on that soundtrack, i think i had that in mind when i came up with this. Best regards Robbie.
hey this is so dry and this means cool...those rhythm guitars though very underrated in volume and for me the drums are too harsh...but if you don't calculate this, I welcome this 'live' music here...
I like what you have here. I think some chunk power chords might add a little drive to it. Kind of counter the guitar you have now. I love the slow build. Nice job.
Not enough guitar music on the loop these days so this is a cool rockin' track to fill the void here. I read your reply to Neo about how certain movie soundtracks like the ones you mentioned influenced you. I totally get what you are saying about music in those flicks. The song Sabotage by the Beastie Boys in the first Star Trek film(in the new series)when the young Kirk steals the convertible car and takes it on a joyride, I was so pumped when that song started! lol Harold and Maude, A Nightmare Before Christmas both have music in them that I enjoy hearing as much as I like to watch the movie. Too many to mention with great meaningful soundtracks.
The song rocks, nice tone on the git, thick and meaty. I think this idea has a cinematic aspect to it, has a passage of time feeling to it to me. Mix sounds pretty darn good as well!
Wayne thanks for your comments i love the looperman site where i get my musical education. I was always very conservative musically as a young man and now i am opening up my mind to every genre i have now checked out beastie boys sabotage lyrics which are awesome made my hair stand on end, there was a fab bass run in it too. thanks bro respect peace out Robbie
Hey X, this is pretty sweet bro! Nice psychedelic rock vibe. Reminds me of some of the 60's music from bands like Iron Butterfly, Amboy Dukes, Strawberry Alarm Clock etc. but of course much heavier. All you lack is a little organ accompaniment from a Farfisa Combo and Hohner Clavinet played thru a VOX Super Beetle ! Jk, I dig it man !
Hey Neo I checked out amboy dukes I liked their guitarist when I think back I was influenced by bands from the film easy rider I loved that film and it's soundtrack both that and a clockwork Orange affected me profoundly. My journey of self discovery continues you have given me food for thought I thank you for your kind comment which has started my day off on a good direction best regards Neo peace out Robbie.
Hi Rob,
This track is a good idea from a concept point of you.
Well done for that.
But in my view, it is Over gained with Volume.
Over all very good effort.
Hey jamid good to hear from you and for the input i have lowered it a tad but its still in keeping with the genre i think it works keep up the good work best regards Robbie.

This is just astounding!! gives me that Pink Floyd vibe and I love me some Pink Floyd lol. It's so relaxing and I could just lay back and listen to it on repeat for hours. Keep up the great work!
Those are nice pads and a clearsound. Almost as if the Angelus-est was hovering over you but hesitating. As the music gives you a sense of wanting to go somewhere but always remains restrained. I like how it ends on the raw electric guitar (fender?). Nice.
Cru
Hi Cru good to hear from you i laid this track out differently from the usual way i work there was a definite time line to it which i kept to. I wanted it to have space. A bit more discipline than i usually possess. You are right about the guitar is a very old Greco stratocaster and copy of the iconic Fender which the masterful Leo Fender created. Now there was a trailblazer if there ever was one he was a fantastic man. Thanks and best regards Robbie.

Awesome track here! i love the celtic approach! i'm less fan with the synth which start at 02:29. (i know it's not one but it sounds like a rhodes)
So, the electronic background create a specific atmosphere with the celtic touch, i really like this kind of melt! congrats Rob!

i think i missed "angel of the east", i will see later on your souncloud ;)
It's really aerian, marked with spirituality. The arrangements are perfect, a very beautiful melody which invite us to the meditation
In France, there's a popular expression to qualify this kind of music: "c'est classieux". (PS: The guitar line is awesome)
Congrates Rob!
