on Lo-Fi House by BlaqTi
this is super cool... never heard about this genre...I make lots of lo-fi songs but never thought it could work with house elements...but it does...maybe to lenghten the track you should play some sax tones...DVSSax is the best free vst...just sayin...

Oh awesome! Yeah, I was surprised this housey vibe works so well with the Lo-Fi sample. I had another friend tell me the same thing about lengthening it! Thanks for the feedback man!

on Nintendo era inspired song by BlaqTi
Ok, what can i say?
This one sounds like a 8 bit version (not the drums) of a track.
If this one is "the one and only" version of that track, then i would say you will not have much success. At least i don't know really any person who would spend money for THIS version :) But that doesn't mean any and for sure not that the track isn't good at all.
I bet you would have more success if you do the same one with some "better" sounds and then later try to sell this 8 bit version to Nintendo :)

stay tuned

Yeah, that makes more sense! This was just an experiment I was trying... I'll file this one away for a while and focus on the production value of my other tracks. Thank you, I really appreciate the feedback!

I find the remix interesting for sure! At the same time, I can't help but mention that it is a commonly accepted practice to name the original artist and song title in a remix such as this. It's up to you, and I understand the impulse.

I think the mixing sounds pretty cool so far, and the minimalism adds to this. There is a good dynamic range as it stands. As long as the headroom is used up and the dynamic range is somewhat intact, then it should sound great when you're done!

This reminds me a bit of Portugal The Man, or possibly The Shoes. I like both of those groups, especially when I'm partyin' so that's cool.

I like your work so far!

Awesome, thanks man! I'll master it and then let me know what you think when I post the finished track... and I'll check out those groups! :)

Yeah I think It sounds great, you did a good job of keeping the song intact when mastering and not brick walling it. I'm sure your friend will be proud of that!!!

It sounds great. I would have suggested pan the reverse lead towards the center but since the commercial isnt focusing exclusively on the music, I think it sounds ready to go. :)

Thank you! I'm definitely going to try to pan the lead more towards the center. :)

on Track for a Commercial --NEED FEEDBACK-- by BlaqTi
Great track, at this point I would probably compress the kick and snare (not sure what plugins you have in your arsenal) a little more to reduce their dynamics and give them a little more warmth.
