Might wanna watch yer levels coz they sounded like they were on the verge of clipping out of my system (I think it's due to the crispness of that amped guitar-like sound ya used on here). I also like the way the track steadily chugs along. Kinda in keeping with the vibe I mentioned previously in the other review (don't you hear the train crossing bells in that one bit of the song?). Once ya adjust that one thing this track'll be golden. Later on!

I'm digging the way this comes off as sounding kinda off-beat. And how ya didn't have the guitar bits come in until way later in the song. Which in a way it gives the song a classic vibe without making it classically classical, if that makes any sense (I'm thinkin of back when they use to use pianos alot in rock, back in the rock-a-billy days). And some of the elements in this are, dare I say, borderline bluesy!? This def makes me think of ramblin off somewhere on the back of a pickup truck or passenger car. Thanks for takin me on a trip mate. Lates!

thanks for the review man! i'm glad to see that someone appreciates my work. I'm not really used to Live so its going to take a while before i get the hang of it, then i'll have this track mastered. I would really recommend these two controllers because its really hard to find a good controller for under $100 each and i got both of these for $40 each. I got around to taking a listen to some of your tracks and i have to say i like what i'm hearing you know, you too have alot of potential. I look forward to hearing from you again and thanks for the review!

What kinda laptop was it (a Vaio?)? I got 2 laptops this year (a crappy lil Dell Mini and a 15" MacBook Pro). How's Acid workin out for ya? I got vers they sell @ Bestbuy a couple of years ago and didn't much care for it.
Anyways, back to the track... This definitely has a Cinematic vibe to it, but I'm thinkin it's more new-age Rockish. Either one works I suppose. Kinda makes me think of movies like the Bourne trilogy and such. Paired slightly with stuff like Mystery Men (so butt kickin action all throughout I guess would be the theme here, haha). Aww man, wait, I think I got the perfect visual for this. Did you ever see that commercial or video with that guy being chased by those dudes and he keeps jumpin off of staircases and ridiculous places (even jumped from rooftop to rooftop near the end)? Here's a link to it if you haven't...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPIw3cv8Zls

Not the commercial, but the viral vid I first saw of the run/jumping thing. Anyways, cool stuff here mate. Later on!

I actually bought an HP Pavilion (smartest decision ever) i actually switched from Acid to Live 8 recently because i just got two midi controllers for christmas and its much easier to use them with Live than it is to use them with Acid... In all honesty i didn't actually write the track, the samples came with the program and i rearranged them to make a new song... so i guess in a way i did write the track i just didn't make the samples... In reguards to the video i actually have a friend who does parkour frequently i think that the stuff that they do is amazing and being a fat lazy couch potato i could never imagine doing any of that lol... but it would be perfect for that. anyway thanks for the review seeing as no one really gets around to reviewing my stuff with all the wonderful stuff that already goes on on here (i mean who really has time to these days!) and of course thank you for making the time to!

77 plays, 2 downloads, and no reviews... What gives people? (shakes head). Now lemme listen to the song.

Play 2 now...

Dunno why, but I feel the part with the guy rappin sounded funny (next to the synths I'm thinkin is why). The melodic singing part fits perfectly. So maybe if ya just scaled back the volume levels of the high synths (or drop 'em down by a few keys instead) so that they mix together better. Other than that I loved the hip-pop vibe of this. Very clubbish stuff here. And I'm thinkin that with the above suggested tweeks this song'd be golden (lotsa potential). Awesome synth sequences BTW. Keep 'em comin, ay!?

Thank you, i also feel the same way but i have this rare disease where i just can't leave my tracks alone and feel that i have to keep continuously modifying them to the fullest extent. Again just as before i only arranged this one based on some samples from our wonderful community. Jeez i must sound like a tool with all this arranging! believe it or not i actually do WRITE music by myself too you know lol. You should check out my newest song "The Park" that i just wrote (completely by myself! lol) a few days ago i just got some new equipment that makes it some i'm more able to write instead of rearrange so the best is yet to come for me fortunately! and i'm definately hoping to hear from everyone and help make this site the best it can possibly be in the future. thanks for the review!

HZ, I like how you organize and arrange your materials here - changes are very effective. I try to play 'dry' like this sometimes but man I can't stop stomping on the pedals, so I find this instructive. Thanks for being out there.

thanks for the review man i think it kind of helps using digital drums rather than playing for the dry sound because of just that and i'm glad i could help!

Haha, when I was 16 I was always at the beach messing with the tourist girls. (sighs) The good ole days, man I miss 'em! So when does school start back for ya? It's already started down here.
Play 2 now...
Nice to see you breakin out into other genres mate. Kind of a refreshing change from the main, ya know? Though I can still sorta hear HH influence in the drums. The softer groove of this reminds me of how nice life was when ya didn't have anything to worry about. Just have fun and chill from day to day, ya know? Nicely done mate. Later on!

Kind of late here but thank you for all the reviews you've done for me, i'm not exactly a "looker" so i've got NO BUSINESS being down at the beach (if we even had one)lol and i really appreciate that you got the vibe of the track here thats exactly what i was going for

Aint it great when ya get friends recommendin stuff to ya? I love it when I get pointed out to something really cool that I might've missed otherwise. Now onto the track.
Play 2 now...
I'm thinkin this could be a bit longer, unless you were meaning for this to be a mix-tape type of track, then nevamind. Has Estae had a chance to hear this yet? I'm thinkin that he'd really appreciate what ya did here. I think my 2 fav parts of this on the music side were the strings at the beginning and all the scratchy stuff at the end. Nice groove here mate. Later on!

Nice organ usage here. Gives this a pseudo-churchy feel, but that completely changes once the next synth sequence kicks in. Though I'm thinkin that if ya copied that channel and added some effects to it, along with some pitch changes they would sound so much cooler. I think my favorite part of the song was the choral bits of synth ya had on here. Kinda reminds me of the Corrs mixed with some other synth pop stuff. Maybe if ya remixed this you could use 'em more (and possibly even have a part where they're isolated, acting as a bridge or something). Cool mix mate. Later on!

on Test Track by CmsProductions
Play 2 now...
The drums on this kinda remind me of what I used on my track, NESness (but yours are a bit more organized). Wasn't trying to shamelessly self-promote, just what I was thinkin is all.
Anyways, I really dig the synth treatment on here, but I dunno if I'd call this a Rock track (well, maybe, if ya added some Guitars to it). Kinda sounds more like experimental house to me. Maybe it's the drums that make me think that.
Speaking of which, I'm thinkin they could use a bit of variety added to 'em. Like isolating certain hits (like drop the kick on some of 'em, or focus only on the snare hit, maybe also adding in some claps and/or swapping out the snare fill at the end for claps). As for maybe adding Guitars, I'm thinkin you could somewhat mirror what's done with the bass. Have 'em go completely mirrored and then drop out every other four notes (adding in some key changes too, to give it some flavor). Cool stuff though. Later on!

sounds pretty good. estae sounds a lil off at times, but thats to be expected when you use an acapella with a diff bpm. I def like this track though! :)

Hello herozero92,

Getting around to review your only track here as you recently did one of mine. I guess I would have to agree on the boomy sound. If you could cut back on that, you'd have a 'nicer' track.

Thanks for sharing it.
