Lek, good to see you posting again and you did not disappoint with this one. There is a bunch going on with this one, but the clarity of your mix allows me to hear everything you are doing. Well constructed, well executed and something I can see being used for a high energy show. Outstanding work, but I expect nothing less from you. Thanks for posting this. I hope all is well.
Loved this hypnotic track. Maybe a break is in order but I just got into the groove so it worked for me as is. Great acapella too, good lyrics on that. Faved this one ta
Hello Lek,
I can see what mudhoen and bringerofDOOM are saying which will push the likeability factor of the track.
However, I like the way you have produced it which made the track more unique.
Well done

I like the drum n bass direction; it makes the songs sound like a remix of a previously popular song. I agree that a break down would be nice, but good track overall.
Nice track. The vocals are clear and the dnb sounds really vivid and exciting. Mix is pretty good as well. All sounds are clear eventhough for my taste i would like to hear the bass a bit more prominent. Especially in the lower frequencies. And maybe you could make a small 8 bars break somewhere in the middle to energize the drums again for the last part. Apart from that it all sounds very good!
Really enjoyed this track, Lek. Great energy! Yes, easy to make this kind of music repetitive, but you avoided that with continuous evolvement of the instrumental tracks. (Not sure if "evolvement" is even a real word, but you know what I mean! :)
I might take a look at the EQ situation of a quite high pitched arpeggiated synth sound starting at 2:59 and then again at 4:58. It worked OK the first time it appeared, although I would drop the level a wee bit. For the second time, I think part of the signal definitely needed to be notched down with an EQ or perhaps the level of the the entire part dropped a wee bit.
Other than that, I really liked what I heard.
Yes, it's a shame that it isn't getting more attention on your Soundcloud page, but that's entirely a function of the unbelievable volume of stuff on SC, not the quality of the track.

I like the quasi dubstep at 2:00 and 5:00
I was expecting some pads or something to pop up in the background, but the high pitched blips did nicely.
I like the changes, this kind of music is easy to make too repetitive.
listened to this while getting ready for work, woke me right up, better than coffee :)
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I know what you mean about the repetitiveness of this type of music especially as this track is fairly long as well. Cheers.
Nice track, Lek. Definitely a banger! My comments are entirely subjective, but here goes: I thought the drums were great and the combination of drums and bass worked really well together. Won't comment on the vocal because it was obviously done by a pro. Sounded great, of course and you placed it nicely in the mix. My reservations relate to the arpeggiated synth part that ran through most of the track, up until about the 3 minute mark. The frequency range of that part was competing with the vocals in my opinion and was mixed too high in the mix. There was a synth pad part that was at lower frequency range, but it was not as prominent in the mix. I would try reversing the volume settings of those two parts, or possibly even finding a different patch for the arpeggiated synth part, or at least applying EQ to shave off the upper frequencies. I couldn't decide whether I should be listening to the vocal or the arpeggiated synth part. I liked the tonal balance you had for the final section of the track a lot. I think that might work better earlier in the track as well.
Nice mix. I like all the little drum breaks and subtle changes (like the one at 2:00).
An occasional vocal sweetener (maybe a little delay on a word or two with the highs filtered a little) would be an appropriate touch, but that's just a suggestion.
