Danke, i beg to differ. i think a lot of your loops can be rap oriented, just as long as the narrator is able to think outside of the box and get creative with the music. i am highly inspired by your work. don't be suprised if i drop a few more songs on here using some of your work :)

thanks again for the inspiration. Bless.

I have to quote MrSkinny: awesome!
Your vocals flow very nicely, liked the short "doubling" parts (again, I have to quote MrSkinny).
The drum-beat is powerful at the right point: liked.
Very "dreamy" piano part which sits very well in the mix. My only suggestion: try to use the piano only for the parts where you are not singing (or at least use it only for some of the parts). While I generally like the idea of a "sad melody" going on in the background the whole time, I think in this case it is not strictly needed: your flow alone can for sure bring enough energy and interest to this song (please, consider that this is my-very-humble-opinion).
Overall: great track!
Ciao, Domenico

Thanks a lot, Domenico. i appreciate all input, good and bad. i totally agree with you on the over use of the piano loop, but after trying different ways to use the manipulate the sample (cut it and delay shorter peices of it, texture it with reverb for a more faded stretch, etc...) i just decided to run with it and put my best lyrical foot forward. i'm so happy that people are hearing the vision and enjoying it. thanks again for the great compliments and constructive criticism!

Awesome! I love the smooth steady and fluent groove of your vocals. Nice doubling them up as well. Also loving the lyrics. Keyboard and beat bed sways sweetly behind the vocal. Nice work!

thanks so much, Skinnyboyslim! i'm super happy that you enjoyed the vocals, they are some of my favorite rhythms and wordplay to-date. it was so fun to write over this beat, and i'm glad you enjoyed it as well.

cheers!

You sound like Mike Shinoda on this track. On top of that it reminds me of a lighter hearted (is that even a word?) take on Lupe Fiasco's "Put you on game". Great story, rhymes, flows (dat second verse tho).

All in all I like!

thanks again for the feedback. i had a lot of fun writing over this. it's always good to let the bad guy win once in a while, and thats what i set out to do on this one.

bless.

word. did this one right with much interest to listen seeing some other possibilities as you explain the situation. Get a hopeful message from this, did you ever finish the dream all the way yet?

like how you put together the music, good use of the loop. levels are clear and loud enough. you got some skills on the mic, can follow along and grabs attention. Keep making em, thanks for sharing. Peace.

As far as finishing the dream, that song has been rattling around in my head for AGES. i'm glad i finally found the soundtrack to tell the story to.
