The chopped sample that ping pongs at the beginning was a bit too much for me. I got into it a bit later in the song, but it still feels a little strange.
I love the bouncing piano/harpsichord sounding thing. I would like to hear a quieter version of it being played at the same time an octave down (and maybe a clean piano later on? just a thought) to fill out the song, since it seems a bit empty. Similarly, a slow strings in the lower registers would add a lot to making the song sound more full.
If you end up developing the song further, you might want to try out putting a heavier synth lead onto that melody and gating the hell out of it on a build and leaving it long and full on the lull.
That's my opinion on what I'd do with it if it was my track; feel free to ignore it and do your own thing :-D. All in all, I enjoyed the song.
Classical elements in it. Kinda like if Phantom of the Opera were to meet A Clockwork Orange and then hook up with Seemless. The last one was kind of a B-movie with Shannon Elizabeth released a few years ago about electronic music among other things.
I liked the way ya threw in those Hiphop beats near the end. Later on!
Isn't it great when things snap in place? Some songs elude that note that would blend it all together. Then you find it and laugh like a nutty professor that found evidence of string theory. A complete, unified, and consistent description of the fundamental structure of our universe ( or notes in this case ) Or something like that. Lol
Love your inspiration for this song, Silent Hill is an amazing franchise - and i like how you took that and created it into this charming song :3
I looooove the siren sound, and always will - thought it was fantastic that your focus was that. My favorite part has to be near the end when the siren goes off again and everything else is going as well :D
I just think it is to much cliping in this track...(on the vox and the drums)
Edit after reply:
It is very important to watch the levels (the amount of audio output) that you are getting from each track and on the master track. Too high a level causes what is called clipping (a distorted, crackling sound most of the time.)
Turn down the everything, proportional and the snares a bit lower beyond the proportionate turn down. (If that makes any sence). Otherwise good job. Just wondering did you make the drums in Hammerhead? Some of the samples sound like it.
nice one. I really like original sounding trance and this has got it. I also love it when inspirations strikes it can be any time and sometimes inappropriate, but well done for going with it. good use of vox aswell.
