Hello and thank you for your very flattering comment. The guitar actually sounds really good, it's the work of Discipline who is a high level musician in my opinion. I begin to be rather archaic, this year I was 52 years old and my children all outnumber me.
Thanks and a warm greeting
Dear Friend, thank you for your review, in this piece created in collaboration, the sound elements fit together very well in a natural way.
Best wishes
Thank you My friend, I must say that the result we have achieved in this piece gives me a lot of satisfaction, especially for how Discipline and I have managed to integrate our respective musical styles so well. Best wishes
Very good sound effects at the beginning and transitions. I like the part when the arp starts... also the precussions are nice.
There are many nice ideas in the track .. Good work!
Dear Friend, thank you for listening carefully and for your words of appreciation for our music. Such an interesting result was possible by harmoniously combining two different creative approaches that led to a sound that I find particularly satisfying. I think this artistic collaboration will still bear many fruits. Best wishes
Hello and thanks for the comment, in fact my musical training dates back to the period you mentioned and has many roots in the German Krautrock. Best wishes
Good morning friend and thank you for your constant support. In this track, I put aside any compositional rule, keeping a simple rhythmic pattern as the only lifeline. Thanks again and see you soon
Thanks for your appreciation and for the time you spent listening. I think that the day in advance with which I uploaded my song depends on the different time zones in which we live, for example I am in Italy. Best wishes
I love the intro and how it builds. I'm ok with the percussion being static since the synths all around it are ever-changing. I think that was the right call for this particular tune (and you know I come from the school of diverse percussion). And I particularly like the way it crescendos and then leads to a denouement and slowly disperses itself. Masterful tune my friend.
Steven
Thank you very much for your nice words, this song is constantly evolving, it has not yet reached its definitive form and through your analyzes and your comments I can understand how to proceed. Best wishes and see you soon
Seriously, I like the suspension atmosphere, a little less the quality of the audio and even less the equalization of the volumes.
The percussion loop should have some variation and not always be the same, in its place, if you really want one always the same, you could use the one used in the soundtrack of The Matrix "Clubbed to death" which I think is good on this type of tracks.
It also tries to better equalize the sounds and make them more dynamic, as they are vintage (which is fine), but too flat.
Dear Friend, thank you very much for your valuable advice, I think I will get back to the song trying to improve it, unfortunately with the modest means at my disposal. Best wishes and see you soon
Again I enjoyed listening to a track of yours. I love the whole sound and the stereo effects. It is calm and somehow threatening at the same time in a pleasant way. You sure know your stuff well.
Here is a link to a track of this friend of mine I told you about (Thomas Fanger, berlin school), maybe you'll like it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmVZ0ZvRXYo
By the way - I did the cover design for his album with this track.
Dear Friend, thank you very much for your review, I really appreciated it. And thanks also for the link on Youtube, this is a very suggestive song, similar in some respects to some of the first works of the Tangerine Dream, there is an imprint of the great Krautrock school. I really like to see some of your drawings, I have a past as an illustrator and cartoonist, so I really appreciate these things. Best wishes and see you soon
Hey man, you seem to enjoy exploring electronic sounds in general, but this one really speaks to me. I am also a fan of lovecraft and anything similar and the journey you intended is definitely felt, and i always appreciate a song with a story to tell.
Hello and thank you very much for your words, luckily I'm fine and in this period of isolation I'm playing a lot. In fact, I really like to research sounds trying to take advantage of the many possibilities offered by synthesizers. I am happy that you enjoyed my music. A greeting
Damn that's squiggly. Strange figures hanging out under the lampposts at night. Glad I read the comments and got clued in to yr Lovecraftian mythos - this is fitting! V cool stuff.
Thanks Friend, your comment gives me great satisfaction, lately I am obsessed with the literary production of Lovecraft and my intent is to pay homage (as far as I can) to the great artistic genius of this writer. Best wishes
Dear Friend, thank you for your comment. In fact, in this period I am looking for new and experimental sounds to obtain effects of strangeness and alienity linked to the Lovecraftian themes that inspire my music. I am really happy that you liked the result of my efforts. Best wishes
Hi,
that's very good, it's always a pleasure to discover a new track from you.
Something experimental in this, and still good choice of sounds.
Congrats.
Welcome back my friend, words like yours are a real pleasure for me and urge me to always try to make new songs. Your opinion is particularly dear because it is that of an authoritative talented musician. Merci beaucoup et à bientôt.
Ahh I love this one. It sounds like a sophisticated VCS3 with a nice chorus effect. eerie, spooky and dramatic while keeping with that synth-percussive sound that drives the body of this work. Excellent.
Steven
Hi Steven, how are you? Fortunately I am well and these days of social isolation have provided me with new ideas for making music. Thank you very much for your review, having your news means hearing the voice of a friend. Best wishes and see you soon
Your tracks are always super interesting. The slow switch from 1:20-1:50 is awesome. I really enjoy the light and droning drums. It adds the right amount of drive to the wacky sounds.
Thanks, your words are very welcome, yours is an opinion that I have a lot of respect for. In this period I am looking for particular and unusual sounds to be able to make the Lovecraftian atmospheres that characterize my production. I was very happy that the organization of the Lovecraft Film Festival welcomed my songs to entertain the audience during the breaks. Best wishes
