JOHNNY! You never knew me really but I missed you. I love funk, especially pre-house funk, when it was kind of electronic. I love the talkbox guitar or wah wah you do with that guitar. The one thing I have to say is the drum beat never really changes, it is the same, maybe you could fade in and out with the filter that you are using, and add a break or two, solos. That funk guitar thing in the background with the talkbox or wah wah sounds a lot like the lyrics to Butthole Surfer's Pepper, if you ever listened to them.

Great track!

Thanks daMann wasnt really taking this one seriously I agree with the drum track being the same I was actually just trying to matching different styles with the same beat to show how genres can change withthe drum beat staying the same just glad to be back in some form or fashion

Well done guys, really good of you to have chosen such heavy subject, you got me thinking now. The music is just so emotional, and with your singing on top, it's become one of my favourite.
Good luck guys.

Hey Gadgetman :)

Love the feel of this reminds me of the hospital level in silent hill :P (the game not film)

Love the dark atmosphere, its like a massive mob with genetic or cybernetic, implants that have vowed to take over the world.

Terminator 1 style backing.. interesting.

Peace,

Really beautiful, I love that it's political (political music and I go hand in hand).
Can they even win the Iraq war? The whole war's just a nightmare.
I like that 2nd to last instrument solo thingy lots too

F YAA...

great perspective!!

people same to forget the soldiers have opinions too.
soldiers end in situations that mat go against their moral fiber.
when i joined the army i had no idea about anything.. i was 18 years old and i had beer in my eyes... my second day of basic Desert shield started... i went was 1 of five in my class to go to korea and miss that all together... years later i look back and realize that i wasn't a soldier i was a mercenary. i didnt see any action in my 5 years but i dont agree with the leaders of my country.
at the time if i would have went to war i wouldn't have been doing for anything other then my paycheck and to stay out of the stockade. i would have killed to keep my squad and myself alive.
a pawn i would have been. ... i would have asked that same question that this song asks.. i feel lucky.. i made a mistake and i didnt have to suffer for it.

i dont think the military is a bad carrier choice but the question i ask anyone that asks me if i think they should join the military is.. do you agree with our government? would you be willing to kill for a politician? would you be willing to die for a cause that may be morally wrong? then the next thing i say is pick a job in the military that pays over 100,000 usd a year in the civilian world get your training do your time get out and enjoy life lol.

sorry um great track

nice responce I agree to the freedom of choice! the problem with the econoomy is that some people do not have a choice or the military seems to be the only logical choice in a shattered economy and they are pushed into a decision that perhaps they are not ready for but by all means there is no turning back once filtered into it! this whole scenario should have been resolved by now and too many soldiers are dying needlessly! this is a sad sad thing with little or no benefit

Touchy subject indeed, piano works great mates, lyrics drops in, words taken to heart, the pad is nice and all those layers create a subtle mood. The beat is taken further back in the mix and out of a club perspective it wont work, but I don't think your intention is to play this in clubs? Will work nice with a documentary though. Good work guys.
johnnygadget
johnnygadget replied Unknown
this was a one off for the competition no club vibe here but i knew i wanted to use a serious topic for the comp after watching the news for a few minutes it was an easy but sad choice!
