hi ant. it's quite original and unusual what you did here with the given loops. really interesting combination.
I like the way how you used that violin loop from the contest pack and developed it. I am not a big fan of so called 'cinematic' music in general but this time it sounded quite interesting. keep producing! all the best, alex
Dude this piece is amazing! I know it doesn't say it but I would love to colab in some way wehether its just back and forth with the piece comming together or you send me some stuff I send you stuff and we see what happens. Great job!
yeah maybe the bass at 0;43,1;03,1;43 and 2;24 sec are a bit overpowering but I can explain that by : I made this track with my old speakers who can't play very low sound so I had to make it with power if I wanted to heard that.
Thanks for this feedback, long time nobody wrote me a comment for this track :)
It's crazy creative, this one. Enjoyed listening!
I'm wondering a bit though if you purposely don't care about having the different sound elements in tone which each other or not. Maybe we'll never no.
Maybe it's not even important!
This sounds a bit like "modern clasic goes funky" or maybe "funk goes modern clasic" .......
Pina Bausch will dance with James Brown to this track in heaven
I am not sure if i would like to see that, but it would be intresting to watch.
While scanning the Featured page, I saw your description and decided I would have to check this out as I appreciate people trying unusual genres mixes - something I think I do quite a lot.
I don't love this but there's a lot of good stuff going on.
Intro is cool and quickly sounds interesting and unusual. Much respect for just the first 5 seconds!
I'm not sure there is really a cinematic funk genre such as this so you're doing something original.
0:54 and the timpani/kettl drum pushes things along nicely and then we're into a cool string part.
1:12 sampled aah choir I don't like so I'd change that for a different sound as that one is a bit cheesy.
1:25 brass is cool and a good melody.
I can't tell here what Joe's samples are and what's yours but I guess most of yours is the cinematic instrument parts.
1:49 your bring in a clap but I think it could do with a hat or ride there as well to fatten up the beat. Clap doesn't sound enough. But it's a good conclusion though I'd quite like this to be longer and see a return to the first groove, which I think is the best one.
you actually made it a-tonal. this might be the most avant garde work I have ever heard. You just invented scream-funk. I actually love this Antonious...it's bizarre and freaking original...Joe.. This kid should win this contest.....Joe..I think I may have to revive him...

LOL.
A soundscape that takes you on a journey through Alice in Wonderland with dolls of the like of Raggedy Anne and Andy. I imagined toys mingling and prancing about amongst a dreamscape of warped and rolling hills. A nightmare of sorts that the dreamer may wish to awake from. Nice go!
I really like this one ant, you have some cool mix of sounds in an organized cacophony. Dissonance is the order of the day. Brass sounds sinister, the highly verbed sub pans are very cool in the background. good work. very creative.

All the same: excellent, original work!
So I will try to change the choirs and adding hat or ride for my outro.
