The quality is fine...production sounds good....A study by The American Music Society says that 50% of people cannot tell the difference between a full Cd (wav) file and a 160 kps MP3 so no matter how we debate it here...you`ve got all you need....nice smooth chill mix...hope you get the vocal you want......well done...(the ending was a bit sudden).....Ed

Thanks for the comment tumbleweed, I talked about the ending a couple comments down and explained why it was a little sudden. Also, I am getting what I think are some good vocals on here. So I hope you like it!

Hi.

Damn, 10 hours a day is a lot. I'm not sure even I do that (when I have that many hours in a day spare) and I'm quite the music and music making obsessive.

Anyway, this is good but I don't love it. But I could come to love it if there were some really fine vocals added. A good song, basically. It sounds like there's lots of space left for vocals. However, if you never get them I'd say you might need to add some more elements or shorten the track to keep my interest.

You pan pipe instrument again, as in another of your tropical chill tracks. At many points I like it, at others I don't. Maybe it plays a little too often. I'm not quite sure.

This is actually really well made, with a very bright and easy listening sound. Fine mix and I'm not sure I can criticise any of it. There's a lot of good space in the whole track, which allows all the elements to breathe.

Hope you get those fine vocals.

Hey Static,
Yeah well I'm on spring break so I can afford to spend that much time sitting there making music haha. But thank you for your compliments and criticisms, I like that you are very honest and straightforward in your comments, thats what helps make people better. I do have a female vocalist that is providing some really good vocals for the track and I am very excited to be working with her. I'm going to be posting the song again with vocals soon so be sure to check it out. I hope you like it!

Thanks,
Rico L.

This is really nice and smooth. I agree, this would lend itself to some fine vocals. Good luck finding someone. It's a bit tough here on the loop. I agree with GO, below. The ending needs something

Hey muiscante,
Thanks for the comment! I hope I can find the perfect vocals for this song. As for the ending, I did have a fade out on the end, but took it off for the looperman post because it made the file size too big. I'm glad you liked this track though, I put a lot of effort into its creation!

This is incredible. This gives off a very deep and relaxing mood. Your use of the flute-like sound makes it that very tropical feel. Great use of the bassline and the drum patterns sounds consistent and well timed, especially with the echoing percussion after the first hit of 3rd beat of each measure. The strings are very light and adds alot of to the track. Also, the keys/synths are very light and gentle, which works very well with everything, given this is a tropical-like track. A very beautiful and creative track! Faved! I see no flaw at all. The only thing I would do, however is at the end, I'd make the outro fade out gradually, while playing the chorus or really, anything works as opposed to just an immediate ending. Peace!

Thanks so much Ookami for the repeated support on all of my tracks. I do have a fade out on the end, but took it off for the looperman post because it made the file size too big. I'm glad you liked this track though, I put a lot of effort into its creation!

Very nice! Makes it more full than the original and adds a wonderful chill aspect. Kinda reminds me of some Kygo remixes

Hi MrRico,
Very good production. I am probably one of the very few here not knowing the original song from MrGuetta (I don't like his music) but I can appreciate the skills you show in creating this track.
Well done.
Ciao, Domenico

PS: I don't fully understand your " the song isn't perfect yet but that is to show less experienced producers that first drafts of songs can sound like that" ... I really don't see the point in this.
Probably it would be more instructive if you could upload "draft" vs "final" version and maybe explain what you have done to achieve the wonderful sound of the final version. Just a thought...

I really loved the track you made around the vocals. It feels magical right from the start and in my book that is always a great thing! I like how different your approach is, compared to the original. Wonderful work and hope to hear more in the future!

Very unique and enjoyable to hear! Pleasing sounds and mix. This sounds deceptively minimal, if you get my drift. I like that in a song! Sounding great it my headphones this morning. Extremely euphoric melodies in here, you should be proud. Big fave!

sounds good, nice melodies keep it going with good intertwining elements. Only criticism would be that the fast hat is a little loud.

Nice job

Track sounds good. It's hard for me to assess it for production because it uses elements of the original track that it covers. (Sia's voice as a base)
Hope to hear your final mix soon, keep it up.

Hi Rico,
Not my usual genre of music, but I could still enjoy the track and appreciate the good quality of the sounds you are using.
I think this track has several good ideas: not bad at all!
….and it sounds pretty "finished" for being a rough mix. Well done!

Keep chilling! I like it, pleasant vibes. To the mixing, drums could be a little bit clearer and/or positioned more to the front in the stereo not to be frequentionally overlapped by other instruments and sound more "in the head".
