Thank you for sharing, this is great, I keep finding loops I can use for my acoustic tune i"m writing, i'll link it to you when done, keep up the good work
All I did was separate the sound into three bands, subs, mids/tops, tops. With the sub I cut from 70 hz and mono compressed it, the mids was 70 hz - 20k and i put a bit of tube distortion on, not much just a touch and the tops just cut 2k -20k. I then sent all three channels to a bus mixed it and added a bit of tube distortion and an exciter to blend it back together and a filter envelope at the beginning. kinda my standard procedure really for distorted bass.
ey man I like your bass sound its good cos it fills up the whole freq range so its good for sculpting, your on the right track with this kinda sound. the note is actualy E not A but hey who cares. I took the liberty of processing it a bit and uploading for comparison. check it out.
Thanks for the comment zombieme and for spotting the deliberate mistake lol. I don't know what planet I am on some days. I like your version better than mine. It is much smoother on the start and finish and has a much better edge to the sound. How did you process it? I am still learning how to make sounds and useing the software and have not got into processing yet. Still trying to get my head round ableton suite and Massive. Be a while before I make any dubstep. I will get the sounds down first. Cheers mate.
