Cello is one of my fav instruments as well, to hear obviously can't play. I'd kill for some Cello loops like faster hip hop/dance ish.

I have been playing off and on for about 14 years, but my heart lies with the cello and guitar. Love those instruments.
If you do get a violin, I highly recommend you do btw, but they have really cheap violins that now have instrument outs and stuff! Awesome.. Want one!..
AND !!
Use 2 to 10 times the amount of Rosin that people tell you too. Seriously that stuff is the main ingredient. I like Jade Rosin, it's super expensive but very much worth it :)
