DJ
Christian Alexander
NYC
(Biography)
As a New York native he started Djing in the late 80’s when he was about 15 yrs old.
NYC introduced Dance music on a local radio station called “Hot 97.1â€Â, which is now called “KTU 103.5â€Â. He was influenced by the energy that resident Dj, Glenn Fricia would dish out every Saturday night over the radio.
Dance music was such a rush for him that he instantly fell in love with the art of Djing.
Over the years he mastered the art of mixing and programming, and started doing local parties in NYC and eventually moved into the Nightclub scene.
With support from local promoters on long Island (his hometown) and Manhattan, and a large following of fans, he got his break when he played at the famous Palladium Nightclub in NYC. He went on to play in other venues such as the legendary Tunnel Night Club (NYC), Lime Light (NYC), Exit Night Club (NYC), Sprats on the water (Long Island, NY), Runway shows for Guess (NYC), Tonic (Houston, TX), Club Realm (Houston, TX), Prague (Houston, TX), Mansion (Houston, TX), Doc Rickets Lab (Monterey, CA), Club 1015 (San Francisco, CA), Private parties for MTV (97’-01’) and so on…
Thru his 20 yr Dj career Christian Alexander finally got his break when an R&B recording artist (Nina Velez) that he Developed along side with his best friend and business partner, Mikah Johnson (Alpha Entertainment LLC), was discovered at the Winter Music Conference in Miami (2003) by A&R Panelists Cory Robbins (Colombia Records) and Hosh Gurelli (J Records).
The word got back to Legendary DJ Junior Vasquez (NYC) thru his Public Relations Dpt, and he wanted to remix the song on his label JVM (Junior Vasquez Music). The song was remixed by his majesty himself, “Junior Vasquez†with vocal editing by Christian Alexander, and performed at Junior’s birthday party (The Ice Age) at the Roxy Night Club (NYC) in 2004, and floored NYC when he aired the song on “Juniors World†(KTU 103.5).
After hundreds of professional performances at world-class venues, Christian Alexander continues to inject us with his love for Dance music thru a, deep bass, and percussion filled infusion, his passion will elevate your experience to pure satisfaction.
