Heyo! My name is EXPVNSE, a multi-genre producer, songwriter, and mixing engineer based in Orlando, FL. I've mixed in live sound settings as well as studio recordings. I'm currently going to school for music and love to work in as many genres as possible - but a lot of what I do currently is indie/bedroom pop and a variety of beats.
I play the piano, bass, drums, and I'm learning guitar too. I'm not amazing at it but I know enough to make some cool stuff!
I mainly use Ableton Live, but I also use Logic Pro X.
My main MIDI keyboard is an Arturia Keylab 49 Essential, I have a Focusrite Scarlet 2i2, a set of ATH headphones (I believe they're the mx40s, but don't quote me on that, I got them a while ago) and a set of Sennheiser HD280 Pros. I have a couple differnt mics - a SM7B, an AT2020, and an E835-N as well. That's pretty much it, minus my laptop and all my cables.
Someone that's recently had a lot of my Spotify playtime has got to be Kota the Friend. A lot of his music is just really incredible, but Grateful is probably my favorite song of his.
Probably Scaled and Icy by TOP, Lover by Taylor Swift, BELIVE IN ME WHO BELIEVES IN YOU by Aries, and The Love Umbrella by Grady. All of these have a ton of songs that I listen to all the time or will always love, so hard to go wrong with those!
I try to take influence from a lot of different musical styles - whether thats hip hop/rap, gospel, RnB, country, indie, or anything else. I'd say that some of my current favorite artists right now are Kota the Friend, D Smoke, COIN, Aries, Tai Verdes, Grady, and Weston Estate. Taylor Swift and twenty one pilots will probably always be on that list as well.
I would say that a lot of my music has a very introspective sound. I got started in music making lofi and by songwriting to get my feelings out, so a lot of my music still has that energy to it. If you like a indie pop mixed with lofi hip-hop kind of sound, you'd probably like my stuff!
I'm in school full time right now, but the bulk of my outside cash comes from DoorDash orders while I work on getting my services out there.
