Zombie With No Tape is an electronic music project born in 1997 in Grand Rapids, Michigan by musician John Barneveld aka earh0x. Upon the deimse of Kalamazoo powerhouse, King Tammy, for which he played drums, earh0x first started with a 333Mhz computer and cracked copies of Rebirth, Fruity Loops, and Acid. Originally called The Gooch, released one ep unofficially titled ‘h0xy-toy hybrid’. This early album was a mish-mash of loop and beat driven, off kilter break-beat experimentation. Zombie With No Tape came into being in 2001, then located in Boyne City, Michigan and released two albums titled ‘Pinch Hazard’ and ‘7 foot 77’. A few years passed and earh0x then took a break from electronic music production and formed Muted Hole and the Empty Witch with cellist Kimi Wolf.
