About Me
I'm currently taking some time out to experience some life, and write. I plan to release my album which will be called 'Songs About You' at the end of 2011. Didn't know what to write, so here's a write-up that was done about me... "Born and raised in the West of Ireland, Jamie began writing and producing songs at his home from the age of 12. In 2004, with a touch of good fortune, he began work on what would turn out to be a very promising career as a Ghost-writer for a number of up-and-coming artists both in the UK, and America. He signed to California based record label Hollywood Records as a Staff Songwriter, where he wrote/co-wrote and produced a number of moderately successful songs for artists from the label. Although not being officially credited (the pitfall of Ghost-Writing), he has received praise for his work on several projects, including 5 songs in the billboard top 100, and featured briefly on an American tour with a number of young bands/artists of the time.. While working with Hollwood Records, he was also continuing work on his own record label, and by 2005, had successfully achieved his dream. .. .. Officially started in late 2004/early 2005 by Trever Stanley, Jamie Collins, and Mark Hanley, 'Jeckyl N' Hyde Productions' once boasted as many as 12 artists, and received distribution through Warner Music Group. In February 2006, the label fell apart. It did however maintain some status in the American underground scene, with affiliations with 'The Source' magazine. Jamie's first (and only to date) studio album was a 14 track Rap album released independently in 2006 under the name 'Desperate Times call for Drastik Measures', a play on his MC name Drastik Measures, but never received any recognition, despite featuring a guest appearance by rapper Bun B.. .. .. For personal reasons, he decided to give up on music, until a classmate of his discovered a sample of his music online and approached him to produce her CD. In 2007, he received the Urban Music Awards 'Independent Producer of the Year Award' for his work with Sway, Baby Blue, and Klasnekoff. Since then, he has been linked with Universal Music, and in particular R&B star Akon's record label, but no deal was ever signed. .. .. In 2008, he declined opportunities to attend Trebas University in Toronto, and Pulse Recording College in Ireland, and began a degree in Music Technology & Production in the Limerick Institute of Technology and the people he has met and his experiences since have led him to return to his musical roots, which is a mixture of Indie/Singer-songwriter type stuff, bordering on Pop music. .. .. His band 'Colour by Number' have had two different lineups, but having abandoned the recording of their album, are not currently active (Returning this Summer). .. .. Most recently, he has worked with rising stars N-Dubz, and was highlighted by XFM DJ Ian Camfield, for whom he did a live session for. His cover of John Mayer's 'You're body is a wonderland' received moderate airplay on the London station. He has also graced the stage with Mike Skinner, N-Dubz, Esmee Denters, Matt Morris, Wiley, and in his only solo Irish appearance he shared the stage with rapper Rob Kelly.. He has also written for Akon, and the bands Hey Monday and VersaEmerge recently... He is currently recording 'Songs About You' which is due in 2011"

My Music Sounds Like
Everyone and No one all at the same time.. My voice has a pretty strange range. Way stronger in the higher ranges, but sometimes it just completely changes. I've been told James Morrison, John Mayer and Ryan Adams. That's WAAAAY to much of a compliment though! I'm actually an awful singer. I used to be good, but my voice is pretty weak and I've had to have several procedures just to ensure I can still speak. But I love to sing, and I give it my all when I do! Love branching out into new styles. I started in Pop, RnB and Rap music, but I've more recently developed a massive love of 'Singer-Songwriter' kinda stuff
In My Other Life I ...
I was employed as a songwriter for 6 years, until 2 years ago when I decided to go to college, when I am currently studying Music
