Doing it on the cheap so not a lot to shout about. The desktop is the main kit, got a Novation remote 25 off ebay wish I got something better now as I'm well into it.. pair of alesis 520 usb and a set of sens hd 25-1 II's The sens was money well spent :)
maverick sabre is great so young but talented. Mike snow anything old and new that catches my ear. A good essential mix is great for inspiration. I like to hear an old song (any kind of genre) that's new to me on the radio and get it in the you's list, old stuff is great for sampling and remixing
I listen to more dj sets and singles now but in the album days experience by jimi, the wall by floyd, the verve and the first prodigy album
I think Pink Floyd would be at the top of the list. They were well ahead of their time with sampling maybe pioneers.. I make dance music even dubstep and putting in some of the floyd sampling style. They built up an audio picture I hope to be the floyd of dance music
I don't listen to just one genre or make just one, one day something mellow another dubstep and then stuff i cant put a label on I don't know what to call it check out audio mousse web site or you-tube
work drink and make music ... I used to play on-line games till jan last year i was good at them and addicted but quit for music and never been happier
