I'm a 19-year-old musician who is just starting to dip my toes into music production on DAWs. I've been teaching myself how to use Ableton Live since about the beginning of April 2020. To flex a little, I would say that I'm fairly musically talented as I have been around music my entire life and have been playing instruments since I was 5 years old.

I would say the most important thing about music to me is simply making something that I really enjoy and feel connected with. I'm not currently holding any expectations to make money since I am still learning the basics. But, I have never felt so obsessed and passionate about something as I have about music production in the past few weeks that I've been learning it, and I love that feeling.

I can't wait to learn and get better!

I've played the cello basically my whole life, but I'm also teaching myself piano, bass, and guitar.

I'm currently using the free trial of Ableton live but I expect I'll buy the full version once the trial runs out.

I have an electric piano that doubles as a midi controller, as well as a Mackie 12 channel mixer for audio stuff. I have a guitar, a bass, a cello, a microphone, and that's about it

The Faces mixtape by Mac is my all time favorite album so I have that on repeat most of the time. Definitely give it a listen if you haven't before.

I'm also a huge fan of trippy type beats that make you feel like you're in a different headspcae. I can't really think of any off of the top of my head but I love the panning type synths mixed with echo and reverb.

I'd have to say that Mac Miller and Travis Scott are probably my biggest influences. The lyrics and subject matter of Mac's music is something that I feel a real connection to, since I grew up listening to him. Travis Scott's lyrics are not as relatable to me but his musical style is just so alluring to me.

I've only been making music for a couple weeks, so I am still in the process of "finding my sound". At the time of writing this, I've been really into haunting, dark, and synth-heavy type beats.

I don't really enjoy making beats that just fit the cookie-cutter format of verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus (I don't really know the format, but you get the idea). I want to push the way a song flows and how the verses and choruses work together. I would say that that is one of my main sources of inspiration from Travis.

Study biology and Neuroscience!! I'm very interested in drug-assisted therapy and I am always drawn to try and help people with any problems they might have, even if that just means being someone to listen to.
