The Loyalists is a production duo out of Durham, NC, consisting of Mark Ross and David Pendergrass. They both have been producing music for a number of years, but came to form the duo in 2009. They are most recognized by their production tag, an autotuned voice shouting "OH!" as well as their unique, screwed claps and a various assortment of synths.

The Loyalists have also been recognized for their mixture of dirty south, uptown, and west coast styles. Ross has been quoted as saying,
"...we try to mix in all sorts of different styles...people who hear our music tell us we sound similar to producers like Zaytoven, The Inkredibles, The Runners, etc. We tend to disagree with this, because we want to bring our own style to the table. We don't want to be like everyone else, nor do we want to sound like everyone else. We're always trying something different everytime we're in the studio. The game is changing and I feel that all producers need to bring something new to the table."
