Funny story- I went to film school after dumb luck put me into the role of boom operator for a pilot shoot in NYC ten years ago. As a cheap alternative for soundtracks, I just composed my own stuff. I've been playing piano since I was eight and have been using Logic Pro for a decade. Recently, an actual touring musician heard an orchestration I composed and told me never let anyone tell me I'm not a musician. So here I am.
I have been playing piano since I was eight. So, roughly 34 years. I also kill on the Triangle.
Logic Pro X & Pro Tools. I also occasionally use Adobe Audition, mainly because I've been using it for so long, I remember the stone age when it was Cool Edit Pro.
M-Audio and Novation Keyboard Controllers, Scarlett 2i2, half a mile of XLR cable & a few Senheisser mics for live recording. I mix on both Mac and PC.
Currently? Mostly what I'm working on because apparently I'm a perfectionist.
I mean... Use Your Illusion was kind of a BFD for me. Hard question, because I love individual songs. if I could take my favorite songs and put them all on an album, that would be my favorite album.
-deep breath- Nine inch Nails, John Williams, Prodigy, Akira Yamaoka, Nobuo Uematsu, Low Roar, Johnny Cash, Skrillex, Coheed & Cambria, Jan Johnston, Tydi... I mean, i could go on.
I compose in various styles, so with me you get a little of everything, but if there is one constant; moody & dark. Anything peppy is just me showing off.
I also work in film and media production. Low budget crap no one cares about.
