I'm a rapper with no particular interest in becoming famous. I just like to rap sometimes, often about violent shit that isn't real because violent rap is fun. My voice stinks.
I don't put as much here as I would on soundcloud, mostly because I tend to say things that violate the site's rules.
No. You're looking for someone with talent.
Audacity for the raw recordings here, Tracktion 7 for tracks. .. But I'm no producer; I'm horrible at it. Completely amateur.
So, I have a shitty $20 Neewer mic (shure 57 knock-off) connected to a ZMX862 mixer (which I rarely even turn the knobs on), and a Sewell Soundbox Pro. PROFESSIONAL RAPPER.
All things considered, the sound is alright, or at least it would be if I gave my recording space any acoustic treatment.
EDIT: Using an AT-2020 now.
Ness Lee (find his actual tracks, not the battles)
Grafh (older stuff rather than his youtube channel)
Kool G Rap
Brotha Lynch Hung - Season of Da Siccness
Bone Thugs 'n Harmony - The Art of War & East 1999
The Godfathers (Kool G Rap and Necro) - Once Upon a Crime
I don't have many clear favorites; just picked a few I like.
Oldschool Brotha Lynch Hung is probably my biggest influence, even though I'm nothing like the guy. There are plenty of better rappers, sure, but the mindless violence in his rap was always appealing to me. Shit isn't supposed to be real; just entertainment.
I sound like a delusional white boy that likes making gangster lyrics. I think anyone that has an ear for good rhyme schemes might like me though.
