About Me

Been playing music since I was 5, been a radio DJ for 4 years, and been composing since I started college. I go by the name DJ Stream. I currently host a radio show for WUML called The Demon's Opera A progressive metal show (my other show Rave Lowell got canceled). Check out my links for more on that. I make my own mixes and songs from original clips and loops, trying to get enough together to release an album.

Instruments I play

Been playing piano since I was 5, picked up the acoustic guitar around age 16. Taught myself drums and picked up bass and electric guitar as well. Done a fair bit spinning and mixing vinyl with turntables. I've explored a large variety of genres with all different instruments and like combining styles from different types of music.

Software I Use

Acid Pro and Audacity.

Hardware I Use

Yamaha YPG-235 Keyboard, Behringer XENTYX1622 Pro mixer, plus got a Martin Electro-Acoustic Guitar, (unfortunately my turntables were stolen so no more mixing)

My Influences / Fav Artists

I've had a various number of influences depending on the type of music. As far as my DJ career goes, DJ Shadow and DJ Mystik were my inspirations. For Guitar it's pretty much always been John Petrucci Of Dream Theater. As for piano Jordan Rudess also of Dream Theater, and last but not least my Dad who first taught me guitar and got me so passionate about music.

My Music Sounds Like

My music is primarily Dance and Ambient Electronic Music, although I've been doing some work with Industrial lately. Been meaning to try making some metal, need to get better at guitar first though.

In My Other Life I ...

Well besides my DJ job which don't really pay well, work as tech for various electronic/engineering companies. Trying to finish an engineering degree.
