I’ve been playing and recording original “Instrumental Rock” with several friends for over 30 years. I got into loop based recording because so few of my friends still play or have the time. I attempt to create loop based music that sounds like your basic power trio of live musicians playing Rock Style Instrumentals.

Guitar, Bass, and a bit of Synthesizer.

Acid 7.0 (Musician version), Reaper DAW, Cool Edit Pro (2000 version), and the free VST versions of “classic effects”.

An old SONY notebook for “loop based” music. For “real” playing I have collected too many hardware toys & instruments to list. I am a big fan of "Vintage Gear".

Some great guitar loops by rei4real posted on this site. What a useful mixture of styles to mix and match. Good going rei4real!

So much good music, old and new, but my all time favorite songs are “Suppers Ready” by GENESIS and “Lights Out” by UFO.

RUSH, BE BOP DELUXE, UFO, early GENESIS, YES, SABBATH, early METALLICA, and of course HENDRIX.
