About Me

Signed to Columbia Records in 1969 by Clive Davis.
My early work can be found on U-Toob: "Appaloosa 1969" produced by the great Al Kooper, and our follow-up album "Compton & Batteau" (1970) and my 1973 solo album "John Compton - To Luna" with the great Harvey Brooks(bass) and Billy Mundi(drums) R.I.P.
In 2020, I switched from Elizabethan Folk to Funk.
Looking forward to working with Looperman grooves.
