on Determined by MOONLYTE
Your voice has some good tonality. When you sing, think of it coming from the bottom of your chest, as opposed to your throat or mouth. A piano has a big cavity even though the notes seem like theyre coming from the just keys. A voice comes from the center of your body, deep inside.

on Struggle by Ibalz
the main synth riff could use some portamento/glide, it's a bit rigid clunky sounding, a little delay too, like a 3/16th delay

There's two sides to every coin and so too life.

I only found out the guy was a Freemason! I knew there was a catch all along! You can't get into power unless you are one of them!

Peace to you and have a successful 2014! Stay true man!

on Make Me Move feat DjGhostSweden by Leverett
I liked it from the start in composition, your high end freqiencies like around 3khz range are a little hissy though, and the overall sound of the mix is a bit tinny imo. the synths sound crisp, synth leads are good. The bass is just lacking a fatness, and punch, and the overall ,mix is tinny, like thin sounding, but good composition
Leverett
Leverett replied 28th Nov 2013 - 12 years ago
yeah, It probably need tweaks in mix and master, I barely put attention to that anymore, I've not enough time for it. Thanks for your honest comment, though, I always appreciate suggestion like yours. Thanks for listening and for commenting :)

on Cling by Monadology
i like the arps innit, I think it kind of meanders along and doesnt havea real distinct climax though, or much contrast, and if it's DEEP house, I think the bass should be deeper, that's just me though, when I think of deep house, I htink of deep fat kick drum and a dark brooding bassline. Thius is more spacy electronic genre than it is deep house IMO. I'm a trance guy not a house guy so...take it for what its worth, the arps are really ambient and melodic though...nice

Monadology replied 30th Nov 2013 - 12 years ago
Thanks for listening, and for the feedback. I guess what the "deep" in "deep house" denotes varies between people. I take "deep" to denote the feel of the song, but it could be taken to refer to the frequencies emphasized too.

on The 80s by XmafaX
It's really heavy and I like it, If I was collatborating with yopu I would shorten it by about half, so 2:30-300 minute song with your bass solo much sooner. THe other thing I would do, is not have a chord change when your main riff stats at 1:00.at 3:00, it sounds weird like the new phrase just "starts" out of nowhewre maybe out of time. I really like the guitar solo! is that You man! Your guitar definitely rocks. The second solo with tapping is WAY out of time though.

on scream wake up by Dragi89
the main riff that is 3 notes ascending is repetitive, i like the beat its good, try and do some filter sweeping on the drums when you are transitioning to a new phrase

Dragi89 replied 23rd Oct 2013 - 12 years ago
alright, thanks man, i'll work on that.

on Take Me Away Ft Nacole and Stephanie Kay by SeriouslyJoking
sounds alot better than before, only thing I would do is make sure you are using MONO for your bassline, that way the stereo image is focused on the center, your bassline is phasing inand out of the left and right sides, not pleasing to the ear, and the bassline should be 30-100 Hz, you can then layer some stereo bass tracks on top that are 100-130 Hz and have them phasing
SeriouslyJoking
SeriouslyJoking replied 23rd Oct 2013 - 12 years ago
Hello Mister and thank you for the constructive criticism!
I'll check in to that phasing issue and try to follow those guidelines about frequenses. But I'm not really there yet in terms of mixing and EQ'ing properly.

Take care!

on Dubalicious by iluvr
the slow beat at the start is out of time with the synth, oir the synth is out of time with the beat either way, and when you majke it go fast, it sounds like a totally different song that you just lopped on to the first one. focus on transitioning your rythms better, and also, make sure something is in beat. I'm going to give you excellent advice but youll probably dismiss me and think im stupid but the best way to learn how to make good EDM is to DJ first, learn how songs are structured and what makes those songs sound good to you.
iluvr
iluvr replied 18th Oct 2013 - 12 years ago
Ty you so much for the feedback I myself have felt that the drums just don't fit with the synths but later they do with the different beat.

It is the second song I have ever made for dub step I think my newer 2 transition better, let me know on those as well.

I cherish all advice.
The tracks I like that I have done are Hubbard Dubba and Go Dub Yourself
Let me know what you think.

Again thanks for the time to listen and comment.
InverSound
you should dial down the frequency on the phaser, it's way too hissy, you know the phaser? I'm assuming you used a phaser effect device on this, any way the bass drum sounds pretty good pretty deep
SeriouslyJoking
SeriouslyJoking replied 14th Oct 2013 - 12 years ago
Hissy sounds funny! =D
But yes, I think I'm following - I'm actually just now learning about EQ'ing and practising on an other song (until now I just cheated with all the EQ'ing stuff and not really done that much of it at all) and when I figure out how to do it more properly I'm going to EQ this song. Or well - it has to be finished first...but after that.
Your ears were right - there is a phaser.

Thanks for listening and for the advice, you talented guy!
Take care.
