You pulled off the trance track pretty good if you ask me. Hell, I'm sitting here bobbing along to it. :-) What you using for the Vocoder?

Nice EQ in the kick track. I honestly love Sytrus to death. I had downloaded FL Demo and played with it for a bit. The Plugs still available to some of my other DAWS and I've played around with it dispite the random noise generation. It's an Awwesome Synth to work with. Keep up the great work.

LOL, well I think you are safe with Techo or simply Electronic. Has a solid beat going on with nice breaks in it. Experimental and wonderfully insane at the same time. enjoyed it. Happy Holidays.

I Love this track, it's not Trance, but it grooves and has a good rock/jazz type of feel going on to it. Was sort of waiting for alanis morissette to jump out singing and screaming at any moment. That or joe satriani to start in on some lead guitar work. This is one hell of a solid grooving track. Love it!!

I Love this wonderfully insane sound you have going on. Kick ass driving track. Sort of thinking the Bass guitar could use a little more punchy EQ's with the bottom end going on to it.

This is one of those crazy tracks that is so different and crazy that I love it. It's like Prince on an Acid trip, but that's a good thing. This is so damn different and outside the box that it's kewl. Love it.

This reminds me of one of those open road songs. Rattle snake rough, a shot of whiskey and warm bottle of beer, a hot sunny day with heat waves coming up from the endless long road. A++ Keep up the great work.

I'm really digging your work a lot. I love the opening and the Kewl Catchy riffs. It's not a lot of mindless guitar work all over the place. Has get up and go with a meaningful drive. Love the chord progressions and style. Can't wait to check out more of your work.

on Weird Hymn by ir185017
Hey Dude, I really did not find this track all that weird at all. Actually it's pretty kewl, just an interesting spin and twist on things. It does not sound like the same old same old crap being chunked out again. A+ for putting a new spin on established genre beats. Somebody with an ear and mind outside of the box. Would love to hear some vocals to this. Perhaps the type of vocals you would not expect to hear on a track like this. That would be awesome. Keep up the great mad weird off the wall drunk music. lol

OMG this is totally awesome for a first track. Hell, I wish my first track sounded half as good as this. You have an ear for putting loops and sounds together. Excellent stereo balance and wow, this track never falls into a rut. You keep things mixed up and changing. A+ for the Theme and variation work. This one is going on my Favs and I'm going to keep on the look out for more of your work. Great track. :-)

I know your mix is not the best in the world, but I love this song you have going on. Catchy and easy on the ears. Almost sort of Lou Reed but better in my opinion. I look forward to any improvements you make on this track. Keep up the Great work and Merry Christmas. ;^)

I'm really digging the guitar work and the mean ass bass. Does sound like the bass needs a little EQ's ajustments or work some. It's missing a little punch to it, like needing a little mid or highs added here and there to it. The Bass has a great bottom end with a little tweaking can bring it sound some more. A little punch to the low end on it. You could duplicate the bass guitar track. EQ one track with high-mids with out a lot of bottom to it. Keep the other track with all the bottom end. Then work with panning higher EQ track a little to the left or right. This way you keep the bottom end sort of centered for the bass guitar bottom, and the higher end sounds of the bass guitar panned to one side. You'd have to experiment around with this some until it sounds good to the ears.

This track is starting to sound a lot better. I would recommend cutting the reverb back (less wet, more dry) on both the vocals and guitars a little more. The quality of your voice is great actually. Stop being so worried about singing on pitch and key. Actually some of the breathing and imperfections is what makes vocal tracks the best. some people get so polished up, that producers have to work with vocalist at adding emotional elements back into the voice of singers. LOL.. Go figure. Sincerely, your vocals fit well with the guitar tracks. I love the groovy little leads going on here as well. I would suggest centering your vocals, keep the acoustic panned to one side, and pan the lead guitar to the other side. The Reverb is still a little too wet on the vocals and even acoustic. Yes, I'm trying to get you out of the reverb closet. Use the effects to accent your music instead of hide your music. :-) I really love this track of yours and think you have a great voice. The thing about music, is that not everybody will love and enjoy everything you do. Just remember that there are those that will. Hell, Bon Jovi is not liked by everybody. In fact some people have Bon Jovi and some people love Bon Jovi. Man, if somebody don't like your stuff, screw 'em because there are those people that will love your music. You can't please the world and you'll go crazy as singer and song writer if you try. lol.. Keep up the good work.

From what I'm hearing your singing does not suck. Actally would love to hear this track without the vocals flooded with so much reverb. I actually Love this track. Hey man, when it comes down to singing, I think everybody wishes they sounded different or better or something. Hell man, I love the punky folk sound of your voice on this track. Actually your vocals make this song a Great song. Would love to hear them without the reverb flooding out your voice so much. Stop hiding your voice and making it buried in the Reverb man. :-)

Its still being worked on. Intro was extended with more of that pitchshifted/panned bass. A second part was added also. Hopefully it will be finished soon.

on Failing at Failing by DazeMachine
I actually hear what you were trying to do with the guitar! It's not that far gone though. Man this is an interesting track. I know distorted anything (guitars or synths) can be a bitch to get the right sound down. Try working with a Graphic Band EQ on the guitar track for some tweaking, perhaps experiment with a compressor and limiter as well. The idea is to boost the harmonics you want without having the guitar rip off the ears. The Graphic Band EQ use to filter out the distorted harmonic tones that muddy things up or you don't want. I still hate trying to make distorted anything sound reasonable to my own ear.
DazeMachine
DazeMachine replied Unknown
That, for me, depends on the sound. I use distrotions and compressors a TON. Like 4 differant distro's with sometimes up to 10 differant compressors. lol. Normally I get what I want from them, but guitars, or something that is supposed to resemble them, ggggrrrrr aaaaahhhhh *smashes stuff*
