The opening of this track was dead on... however.. after that... the more it progressed it the drive or the vibe kinda went out the window. I love some of the loops you are working with... however it sounds like some of them are getting cut or clipped short. The timing or sync of everything feels a tad bit off to me. Difficult for me to into this.. then again this is my reaction to it. I do Love the idea and the loops here... just feel you need to find a vibe and sync things up a little better.. and it would be an Awesome track...

I Love the drive of this.. I'm not certain how to explain this, felt the distorted drive track could have had a little more bottom end to it. Somewhere between the Drums and the higher synth parts. Just something to give it a little more balls. I tried listening to this at different volume levels. I'm still trying to get a better feel on making better mixes myself, I do know that what I hear before doing a mix down and after is somewhat different. I'm having to make things a little hotter (more bite) on tracks before mix down. Everything seems to get smoothed out. Perhaps that is what is going on with you? Musically, I really enjoyed this.

I have to say it, you are like the musical crack dealer here. I knew nothing about ccMixter and Calendar girl... Thanks a lot more websites to get lost in for hours on end. LOL.. It's all good though. OK, what month is this Calendar Girl song, and did you submit it to her website? Awesome is the word for your mix, I have been slowly checking out different people's mixes of her songs there.. some of them.. well frankly don't rock, groove or have a strong enough hook going on that works with the Vocal tracks! Damn, you found the perfect groove and hook for this. BTW, I checked out the Hydrogen drum machine website.. however Bill Gates seems to own my computerized soul these days.

I Love the Beat and the Crafty Guitar.. I also love the timing of the rap lines as well. You should considered making the other rap verses similar to what starts around the 2:56 time mark. Basically.. lay off from having the backup Whhooo and Wow.. backup singers going on while in the middle of the rap itself. If anything add them as fillers at the End of Rap line... Treat those loops like cymbol crashes or something... use them at the end of a complete rap phrase.. where you'd expect for the Main Rap/vocalist to catch his breath.. and compose himself for the next rap or groove. If anything, find loops or lay down back up vocal tracks that sustain the Ahhh.. or Oooo's.. for 4 beats or so.. Kinda like a R&B back up feel. The rap lines from 2:56 really stand out more and better because the backups are not over powering it. So bitch slap the backups and let the Man Lay down the Rap and follow the beat. Did you do the guitar tracks yourself? Love this catchy drive...

I Love the Low End Nu-Metal sound on the power chord guitar track, however.. the other track with the Kewl Guitar Textural overlay should have more treble or mid on. I'd suggest trying distortion/EQ settings Where it stands out with a little bite. The so called NU-Metal distortion is mainly for Bottom End Hooky Power Licks and Chords. However, the EQ setting do very little for having Leads or Overlays stand out.. Just some feedback on the settings. I really would Love to hear the second track (textural one) stand out more.. Perhaps panning it to the right side more.. and make it a bit more bright with some mean bite.. Let the Other Guitar Track Carry all the bottom End.

Hey.. I really dig what you are doing with this toss together. Two suggestions though.. add a little more kick drum in the opening to give the song the Get up and Dance. Have the opening set the Groove for the rest.. My Second suggestion is where you just have the Brass Playing.. have some Drum tracks in the background there.. Something still going on Beatwise.. I Love the off wall chromantic sounding bit after the Brass tracks. Would be kewl to hear some vocals/raps layed down on it. I'm liking what I hear here for the song idea.
