i really appreciate the love. its the reason i do what i do. but you obviously know this allready. so i will not bore you. The reason there are no vocals yet. issimple. fear. I am getting over the stage fright little by little. again thanks. keep doing what your doing. we will make it.peace.
The last track in my Planetjazzbassfest. With this one, I've listened to and reviewed all your tracks. And I must say, it has been an abosolute pleasure.
Topping off with this piece is perfect. For some reason, it brings to mind the old spaghetti westerns (might be the whistling). Anyways, this baby is sweet.
Hey John you've been stalking my tracks! LOL...I do appreciate the time you've spent listening to my music and your insights..where would we be without feedback from our peers!...the interesting thing is especially in my earlier work and I would imagine this applies to a lot of people..it isn't so much that my ideas or playing was inferior at that stage it was because I was at the start of the learning curve of my DAW and trying to make the transition from old ways(analog) thinking to the new digital age..this is where Looperman comes in,it's often been said that once you join you improve and I totally support this contention..now that the transition has totally digitized I feel that I can express myself more readily and quicker than before.....plus if ever there was a musical sounding board Looperman is it.......In one review 'Mission to Murmansk'you asked how I got this synth sound..Damn! I've been trying to find it again for years!LOL..actually it's a patch out of Native Instruments FM8,should be easy to find right...wrong! lol I have at present count over 25,000 patches for this particular soft synth and the one I used I subsequently morphed out of recognition..I will find and recreate this sound though!(one day) lol...John if ever there was someone who encapsulates all the good things about Looperman and music in general it's you..you have an open mind and a wealth of experience honed by life's journey...It's not that I don't value younger peoples opinions it's just that there's a divide,is it pre internet versus post internet mentality..I don't know..I'm just glad we're both on the same side of the fence! lol..cheers for all your support mate!..Dave :)
Sounds very psycedelic. There are a couple points where there could have been better separation of the voices but that might also take away from the overall feel. Always a trade off, eh?
I really like the guiatr in this one, but the overall blend of sounds reminds me of some of those older movies where the hero is walking the city streets late at night. Inspires a lot of imagery.
Hey there John! thank you big for listening here!
I really apperacte the postive words, means alot when you hit bumps in the road! Again, loved your guitar playing on this baby. Definitely hear the influence of late 60s\early 70s guitarists.
