I wouldn't go as far as saying this needs vocals, it is actually quite a nice instrumental track as it is. I would definitely like to hear the version with vocals as well.
When I composed it, I always thought the music flowed well ... but vocals would make it flow even more. And with vocals, there'd be changes here and there, plus a well-deserved counter-melody ... oh well, will wait for a singer to be lured to it ;-)
I probably would have loved this more if I hadn't listened to THe Santana first. Don't get me wrong, this track is sweet, but the The Santana is way beyond.
Thank you John I will make an entire rework on this track i will meke some changes I am glad you took your time to review this and Iam glad you like it
This track would have been a great addition to the "Nightmare Before Xmas" soundtrack. Really has the flavour of the movie to it. Check out the movie or the soundtrack and you'll see what I mean.
I don't know the Lyrics on the vocoder... it's Hungarian (it's a looperman accapella by Shamen) but I thought it would fit in nicely with some oldskool 808 beats!
I don't recall the older version of this one either, so I can't make a comparison. There's a definite sadness about this track despite its pace and otherwise happier sounds.
Oops. Sorry about that, Brother. I have corrected it now. A little case of alcohol-fueled dyslexia. LOL. Once I get finished I'll post the entire track for download. For some reason my track plays back about a 1/2 tone slower than it should on here.
I think this is a great track. I very much enjoyed listening to it. Can't offer much in the way of creative criticism, I was too busy enjoying the tune.
Great track with lots of power. The changes are well placed and gives the listener a moment to recover, but only a moment, and no more than necessary to avoid taking away from the ride.
I guess there are a lot of parallels between travelling in space and travelling at great depaths under the ocean: The claustrophobia, the constant humming of the machinery necessary to our existence and the vast darkness. This track could serve on a soundtrack for either. Way to capture the atmosphere.
Cheers John - i basically cut up an intro and mixed those sounds up all over the joint. added a beat, some fills and some effects and thats it. the bass was already in there. going to come back to this at some point but cheers for the review

I like what you've done, please do send me a copy. If you want to see what I did with the acapella it is used in a track called though.
